MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, April 27

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

STLCardinals84: I am going to be significantly overweight on the Yankees offense and significantly underweight on the Rays offense. I know the Rays are facing the White Sox, but this offense tends to sputter quite a bit and doesn’t have the ceiling that many people think they do — even against the worst team in the league. Give me the power bats of the Yankees against an inconsistent pitcher in Joe Ross as the top stack of the day.

Krayton: I once again have quite a bit of interest in the cheap pitching options, starting with Chris Paddack and Jordan Hicks. I will have some Aaron Civale, as I love taking pitchers against this White Sox team that just doesn’t have much going offensively. The Seattle Mariners are a sneaky team I am looking to be overweight on tonight.

tcsmith031: I’m not enthralled with the high-end pitching tonight, so I don’t think paying down is a terrible strategy in tournaments. There isn’t much separating guys like Chris Paddack, Charlie Morton, or Jose Soriano from the expensive options, and there are some bats I’d rather pay up for. It’s not comfortable, but I think it’s a viable route on this slate.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be fully fading Dylan Cease tonight, and while I’ll still play Civale, I want to focus on the cheap pitchers. Paddack and Hicks are very interesting, but I have a ton of interest in Soriano due to how chalky the Twins are projecting.

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
