Welcome to the weekend and to SquirrelPatrol’s Takedowns for UFC Fight Night: Nicolau vs. Perez. After a thrilling UFC 300 event, we are back in the UFC APEX in Las Vegas for a 13-fight card that doesn’t have the star power of the PPV event two weeks ago, but it does still have some exciting fighters capable of big fantasy scores. One of the biggest things that stands out on this card is we have mispriced fighter, with James Llontop a massive -450 favorite but with just a $8,200 price tag on DraftKings because his original opponent pulled out of the fight last week. With several expensive fighters capable of getting an early finish, we’ll need to pair them with the right underdogs to make our lineups work. Let’s see if we can find some overlooked fighters to help us take down a GPP this weekend.

MMA DFS Picks: SquirrelPatrol’s Takedowns for UFC Fight Night – Nicolau vs. Perez

Liang Na
DraftKings: $6,800
FanDuel: $8

We have Liang Na projected for just 8.34% ownership, and she likely won’t be a popular fighter after losing her first three fights in the UFC, all by KO/TKO. She is a heavy underdog with +360 odds to win (20.6% implied win probability) but she carries relatively strong odds for a first-round win at +700 (11.9% implied probability). Liang is going to try to start fast here and give it everything she has, with this likely her last shot at keeping her UFC roster spot. Priced down at $6,800, I’ll look to roster her at a rate closer to her win probability than her current projected ownership.
