  • DraftKings $5,000,000 Week 1 NFL Kickoff Bash

    alt

Thirty-seven days, ladies and gentlemen. Sunday of Week 1 in the NFL is arguably the greatest day of the year; for one, the weather is still warm, and at this point in the season every fan thinks their team has a “real chance” to make a Super Bowl run, unless of course you live in Jacksonville (and for some reason root for the Jaguars)… or Buffalo (find a new city to live in and just root for them there, seriously). Sadly, the first thing that came to my mind when I thought of 2013 Opening Weekend was Zach Sudfeld. I bought into the hype and I mean come on, how could an athletic Patriots tight end not produce fantasy points? Aaron Hernandez did it, and he’s obviously no Albert Einstein, so I’m not one to blame it on him not picking up the offense. Enough of this depressing dialogue, let’s get to the (much more exciting!) reason you’re all here. (Read More)

  • Advanced Stats Pitching Charts - Fri 8/1

Now it gets crazy. Not only are there 15 games to cover tonight, but after yesterday’s trade deadline melee, we have to start placing the faces in their new places. It’s a pretty sure bet I’m going to end up skipping over one and not replacing the proper new team name in the next week. If and when that happens, feel free to yell at me in the comments. In addition, we’ll be meeting the youngsters who will be taking the places of the departed. You’ll see some of those guys starting today. (Read More)

  • MLB Daily Plays: Fri, August 1

    alt

The calendar has flipped to August and now everyone wants to talk about football. Well, baseball is still in full swing and we have big time GPP’s across a lot of DFS sites this evening as DraftKings is offering a $100K Perfect Game and FanDuel is offering a $200K Super Monster. Both tournaments carry $200 buy-ins and will be popular topics of discussion today. If you aren’t in the market for those contests, there are plenty of lower buy-in GPP’s too, so there’s a piece of pie for everyone. Let’s take a look at some players to target this evening. • DraftKings King of the Beach in Atlantis - $1,000,000 to 1st

    alt

We’ve still yet to experience the first of the Atlantis tournaments (less then a month for the MLB version!), but DraftKings has already announced the next in line with the NFL King of the Beach! It will be a $2,500,000 event which pays out a cool $1,000,000 to 1st place, similar to what we saw with last season’s NFL championship on DraftKings. The big difference is that instead of playing from wherever you call home, you’ll get a nice 4-night vacation in the paradise that is the Bahamas. (Read More)

Yesterday showed us that sometimes, you just have to pay up for those ace pitchers as they can drop 40 bombs on Draftkings for you. The night slate of games looks like it might be shaping up pretty similarly to last nights as there are a few clear aces taking the mound. We will take a look at which batters from this 8 game slate will take us over the top and into the money tonight. (Read More)
