At last we had a week to take a deep breath and relax for a minute. It’s awesome to see the Daily Fantasy Sports industry continue to grow and innovate. Joust just unveiled a new game format this week, and it’s pretty sweet. It’s called the NBA Solo Survivor Tournament, and I haven’t heard of anything quite like this before. It’s a multi-day contest consisting of individual solo contests, a game-variety where you set a lineup vs. a set amount of points as opposed to an opposing lineup. Win a Solo contest by January 31st and you’re in the Survivor Tournament. Everyone who qualifies then enters an all-out survival battle until only one man is left standing. (Read More)

Rudzia55 has surpassed Condia to take over the first overall place in the rankings. Condia has held a magnificent run in the top spot, yet Rudzia55 edges him out this week ever so slightly to take the throne. Just a month ago that didn’t seem possible but by having the best Monthly GLB Rudzia55 was able to displace the dominance of Condia. With that said, the race is still tight and with the level that these two guys play at, don’t be surprised if Condia reclaims his lead next week. Should be an interesting battle! (Read More)

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times; each week various members of Grinder Nation shock the leader boards. This week that member of Grinder Nation was Blitzburgh who threw himself a [re-]welcoming party to the top 100 by jumping all the way to #24 with some newly-found FanDuel results to go with his impressive work on DraftZone. Previous weeks had seen players move into the #50-#60 range when entering the Top 100, but Blitzburgh, a previous Top 10-er from about a year ago, jumped all the way to 24th. (Read More)
