Guaransheed Wednesday: Redemption Time

What’s up everybody thanks for tuning in to another edition of Guaransheed Wednesdays. On behalf of Rasheed and I, we would like to apologize for last week’s picks. We were off of our game and that just wasn’t our best effort. While we did give a couple good picks, for the most part they were no bueno which I belive is spanish for no good. We would like to make up for last week by offering you twice as many Guaransheed’s this week. But wait there’s more… Ok there’s not more, but it was starting to sound like an infomercial.
Back to the picks, here are the SHEEDS for tonight’s games:
Carmelo Anthony – Now’s the time to shine for Carmelo. It looks like Amare is going to be out for at least a month and Linsanity has already been ruled out of tonight’s game. That means that New York is there for Melo’s taking and I think he responds with a big game tonight against the Magic. Even if the Knicks lose tonight, Melo is going to put up plenty, and I mean plenty of shots. For $13,400, Melo is a must play.
Klay Thompson – Klay’s value is very similar to Lee’s value. As long as Stephen Curry is out, Klay is going to be their number two guy. He has played extremely well lately, especially at home. The best part about Klay’s game is that he is becoming more than just a scorer. He also has a great matchup tonight against the Hornets.

David Lee – Lee is now the go to guy on the Warriors and it looks like it’s going to be like that for the rest of the year. Lee has really picked up his game lately and has a great matchup tonight against the Hornets. Look for Lee to have close to a double-double by the half and finish with at least 20 and 14.
Iman Shumpert – With Amare being out with an injury, the Knicks decided to plug Shump into the starting lineup and move Carmelo over to the 4 spot. This will provide Shump with plenty of extra minutes and he will start to put up much bigger games like he did earlier in the year. For $8,000, it’s hard to find much better value tonight.
Tristan Thompson – Thompson is the definition of a rookie. Frustrates the coaches because at times he looks great and at times he looks lost, frustrates himself because his confidence is on a roller coaster, and frustrates fantasy owners because consistency is no where to be found. With that being said, he struggled last night against the 76ers so I fully expect him to bounce back agains the Pistons tonight.

Andrea Bargnani – You might want to shake your head at this pick, but answer one question for me: How well does Javale McGee defend the 3-point line? The answer is not well at all. Javale likes to sit under the basket so that he can block (goaltend) shots into the third row. I think Bargnani takes full advantage of this tonight and scores over 25 actual points for the first time in a long time.
Luke Ridnour – Luke, I am your father. I may be in the minority here, but I love Ridnour tonight against the Bobcats. The game is in Charlotte so the game should be close (at least that’s how Vegas sees it), and the Bobcats have one of the worst point guard defenders in the league in DJ Augustin. Don’t forget the fact that JJ Barea is not with the team so Ridnour will get all the minutes he can handle.
Gordon Hayward – My man Gordon is finally living up to his potential ever since Josh Howard went down for the season. If you ignore his last game where he only played 24 minutes due to the crazy 4 OT game the night before, Hayward had averaged 33 fantasy points per game over the last 4. I don’t expect quite that many against the Celtics tonight, but I think 25 fantasy points is very possible.
Let me know what you think of the picks and if you decide to take any… Good Luck!
