Miles Plumlee (calf) and Ramon Sessions (knee) cleared to play tonight
Miles Plumlee is expected back in the rotation tonight after he missed a couple weeks due to a calf injury. While he's not going to jump in and log heavy minutes tonight, Plumlee will likely see a few minutes behind Frank Kaminsky and Cody Zeller. Don't use Plumlee on this slate but it's something to watch out for as the team continues to get healthy. Ramon Sessions has been cleared to play but is not expected to take the court.
Ramon Sessions (lateral meniscus tear) ruled out for Saturday
Sessions will not play in tomorrow's game against the Utah Jazz after being diagnosed with a torn lateral meniscus tear in his left knee. The Hornets have yet to set a timetable for his return, but he will likely miss more than just Saturday's contest. Brian Roberts will enter the rotation as the backup point guard behind Kemba Walker, and with Walker currently questionable due to an illness, Roberts could be called up to draw the start tomorrow. If Walker is eventually ruled out, Roberts would become a top value option on Saturday's slate despite the difficult matchup with Utah.
Ramon Sessions (knee) doubtful for Saturday
Sessions has been downgraded to doubtful for Saturday's contest against the Jazz. Sessions only played 7 minutes against the Warriors on Wednesday and was not a viable DFS option to begin with. Kemba Walker is also listed as questionable due to an illness and Marco Belinelli could start and see big minutes in place of both Walker and Sessions. Nicolas Batum would also see a bump in usage and ball handling duties if Walker and Sessions are indeed ruled out. Look for another update regarding the Hornets tomorrow.
Kemba Walker warming up with intent to play, but no official ruling on him yet
Roster lock approaches in a few minutes, and while Walker is warming up with the intent to play - he was closer to probable earlier in the day despite the illness - it still remains to be seen whether or not he'll be able to give it a go. If Walker doesn't end up suiting up, both Nicolas Batum and Ramon Sessions would become much stronger DFS targets, although the blowout risk for Charlotte would increase as a result.
Kemba Walker OUT on Friday (personal)
Walker will miss Friday's game due to personal reasons and the team hopes he will be able to return for the weekend. Ramon Sessions and Brian Roberts with Sessions the likely starter.
Wizards starters: Sessions, Thornton, Porter, Dudley and Nene.
Ramon Sessions and Marcus Thornton should be considered high-upside tournament plays tonight. Both players will likely play over 30 minutes for the third consecutive game. With the ball being in their hands so much both players have massive upside. Sessions asking price has spiked over $5k on DraftKings making his potential upside a little less. Thornton is still under $4k on DraftKings, making him a nice tournament option.
John Wall OUT tonight for Wizards
This isn't surprising as the Wizards have nothing to play for. Ramon Sessions will get the start most likely and continues to be an excellent PG option - however, his price tag has risen to $6.4k on FanDuel (it's just $5.2k on DraftKings) so there are other options out there. That said, he has scored 40+ DraftKings fpts in three of four so he should definitely be on your radar as someone to roster, especially on DK.
Wizards starters: Sessions, Thornton, Porter, Dudley, and Gortat on Monday.
The Wizards will replace Beal and Morris with Thornton and Dudley respectively. Thornton should be considered a strong play against his former team. He is coming off a 30.3 fpts game last night and should be able to exceed value with his salary at a minimum across the industry. Dudley started for the Wizards before they acquired Morris so he deserves tournament consideration against the Nets. Dudley has exceeded value four consecutive when he gets 28+ minutes. Expect Dudley to play 28-32 minutes with the Wizards so shorthanded.
Bradley Beal questionable, but not listed as a probable starter
Beal is considered questionable but isn't listed as a probable starter, so there is a good chance he ends up missing tonight's game. The Wizards have been eliminated from playoff contention and given Beal's history with injuries over his short career, it'd be surprising if they took a chance and had him suit up against Brooklyn. Marcus Thornton would become a very nice GPP play if he sits, while Ramon Sessions would also pick up some value. We'll update Beal's status when we have more information.
John Wall (knee) officially ruled out for Friday
Wall miss his second consecutive game and is likely done for the season. If the Wizards lose tonight, they have no chance of making the playoffs. Sessions will start in his place and is a solid cash game play but merits a tournament fade.
