I can’t speak for you, but it’s amazing the profound affect Daily Fantasy has had on my weekly sports viewing. I’ve been a sports nut my whole life so watching baseball on a nightly basis was going to happen with or without the daily fantasy sports game. The same can’t be said for Thursday golf. I can’t remember the last golf tournament, (especially non-major) that I took time out of my day to check scores on my smartphone and tune in to the Golf Channel to follow the action. But sure enough, there I was, worrying about whether or not Ryugi Imada was going to make the cut for at the Wyndham Open. For a kid to have that kind of poise in that situation, lends me to believe he has what it takes to succeed in the tough SEC. Last seasons leading rusher Knile Davis is out for the year, so I’m guessing Petrino may even air it out more than normal this year. Wilson has tons of experience at the wide receiver spot, so with that the tools and the system he is in, I would expect great things from him this year. Read More

2011 Fantasy College Football Studs and Sleepers: Part 1

I was pretty pumped to hear that Draftstreet, Daily Joust, and 365 Fantasy Sports have all decided to give college football a chance in daily fantasy. Having worked in sports talk radio in the South, I’ve seen first hand the passion of college football fans and know they would have a huge interest in this game. I really hope to see these sites use some of their marketing dollars to reach out to college football fans because I know for a fact many of them have no clue about daily fantasy, but would crazy about the concept of building teams and playing for some real cash.
