Software & Interface
BuzzDraft was started by a group of professional poker players, which had a very similar industry to daily fantasy sports. This background has allowed BuzzDraft to put together a very user-friendly site that is simple and fast. The website is easy to navigate through whether you are looking to join a new league, check out your past history, or keep tabs on your current scores.
The “My Dashboard” section on BuzzDraft is basically your control panel for everything you will need. Your Dashboard is where you can track your challenges, transaction history, visit the cashier, and even change to your profile. This page makes is a one-stop for all of your daily fantasy needs on the site.
BuzzDraft’s Draft Lobby is located on the main page when you log in. The lobby is very easy to navigate through. All you have to do is click on which sport you want to play at the top and then you can sort all of the available leagues by entry fee, number of players, and draft type. Once you join a league, the player selection process is very smooth and you can sort through the available players by position, price, average points, etc.
Now that you have picked your team and the games have started, it’s time to track your scores with BuzzDraft’s Live Scoreboards. The look of the scoreboards are really nice and sleek. The team that you pick is listed on the left of the page and then to the right you can see a summary of everyone else’s scores. This makes it really easy to track how you are doing in large field tournaments. BuzzDraft also has a cool feature called Player Pulse that lets you track how every single player is doing. This is a feature that no other site currently offers.
Roster and Rules
To give you a feel for BuzzDraft’s scoring and settings, let’s take a look at their NFL leagues. The roster for salary cap NFL leagues consists of 11 players: 2 QB’s, 2 RB’s, 3 WR’s, 1 TE, 1 FLEX, 1 K, 1 D/ST. This format is different from other sites in that you get to have 2 QB’s, a flex spot, and also have to have a kicker. Rake
Rake is one of the most complained about issue in daily fantasy sports. No one likes to pay rake, but until the industry grows large enough, there really isn’t any other way it can succeed.
