I think it also makes sense to not post entries. I undercut the lowest bid at the time, which was then undercut several more times afterwards. This was basically a contest to see who could post last.

This contest needs a huge overhaul.

People who post last have the biggest edge plus clearly it is impossible for you to see when someone edits their post.

Apply a time stamp to editing or forget about these giveaways.

Yes 2incher I did change my score but it was before the games started.

I had the lineup posted on Fanduel and made my post 30 seconds before the contest started according to their clock. I checked back here once the contest started and then checked back here once the contest ended, and your score was still 155 at that time.

And you can look at the time stamp of my post on this forum, which was 1 minute before the start of the contest. If you had made your change “with about 3 minutes before” , it would have been visible then, and surely would have been visible 6 hours later once the contest ended. And 3 minutes before, I hadnt even made my post yet. Lies abound in your words. What a shame that someone like you has to be a part of this contest.

One last post from me on this. I wouldnt argue about this unless I was absolutely sure I was in the right. And the $10 doesnt mean anything to me, it’s more the principle of the entire thing. I hope that two things come from this. 1. That contests here are more closely monitored in a way that something like this wont happen again. 2. That a cheater is exposed. I am a newbie here, just joined yesterday, and I am sorry to have been involved in something like this on my first day. Good luck to everyone here on your future endeavors, yes, even you cj, seems like you need it the most.

I posted the score and didn’t check back until today, I had no idea what the scores were until this morning. It’d be interesting to see if you played a free game yesterday on FD with the roster of players listed in this contest. Wonder if we could have waiverwire look into that?

Guys, all it really seems like is going to come out of this is the fact that we won’t be able to have these contests. If somebody cheated, that’s pretty lame for $10, and if they didn’t, then they didn’t. i know we all want to win but i would assume most of us are adults and $10, though nice, is probably not worth this much controversy. The way people guess on these contests obviously does lead to possible “price is right” one uppers, but I hate coming in late because I always have an idea for a score and, when I come in late, somebody usually already has posted it so I have to completely go with something else. It’s a free contest that KC and FD are kind enough to put on… it’s not worth the time or money for the guys at RG to have to overhaul the format just so we can participate in a free $5 or $10 contest once a week. Let’s just be honest about it and enjoy it for what it is: a fun little contest among DFSers that we can all enjoy and play honestly without this drama.

For the record, I’m not choosing sides either way. It just doesn’t really matter that much to me, and I think it’s best that we all just move on so KC/FD doesn’t just get rid of the contests completely.

A better designed contest would work. One that gives an advantage to those who post first, not those who post last would be better.

Sorry for all the issues/confusion. We just came up with a solution moving forward where we will set a fixed start time and store all the guesses at that point in time so we can verify if anyone cheats. KC will post the updated rules in the next contest.
