Welcome to the weekend and to SquirrelPatrol’s Takedowns for UFC 301 – Pantoja vs. Erceg. This card is being held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and every fight on the card has a Brazilian fighter. We’re down to 13 fights after William Gomis needed assistance walking off the scale on Friday morning, and his fight against Jean Silva was subsequently cancelled. Let’s see if we can find some overlooked fighters to help us take down a GPP this weekend.

MMA DFS Picks: SquirrelPatrol’s Takedowns for UFC 301 – Pantoja vs. Erceg

Steve Erceg
DraftKings: $7,400
FanDuel: $17

Steve Erceg is going to be a popular fighter on this card as the main event underdog with +155 odds to win (39% implied probability) priced at only $7,400 on DraftKings. He deserves the ownership, however. He is just two months removed from a 2nd-round KO win over Matt Schnell that scored over 93 DK points, and with five rounds to work with, any kind of victory would give him an excellent score for his price. I won’t roster him in multi-entry sets at a percentage higher than his win probability, but he should be under strong consideration for every format of DFS contest on this card.
