Stephan Jaeger Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Monday qualifiers now have projections and are available in LineupHQ

Both DraftKings and Fanduel have added the Monday qualifiers to their pricing pool for the week. All four of the golfers above have been added to LineupHq and are available to use in builds for the week. Monday qualifiers playing well ended up being a great storyline during the 2019 season, and with three of the four qualifiers for his week having a decent amount of tour experience it would not be a major surprise to see that happen again this week. Stephan Jaeger stands out as the player most likely to have a strong week. As a multiple winner on The Korn Ferry Tour, Jaeger is a player who many feel is overdue to finally start to perform well on the PGA Tour.

Jaeger provides value with T2G stats

I had a close eye on Jaeger last week as I ended up not needing to play him in many lineups, but knew I would have interest in him this week at TPC Twin Cities. He technically disappointed by missing the cut, but was very encouraged to see his numbers stay consistent T2G. He lost 2.5 and 1.9 strokes putting on Day 1 and 2, respectively. His OTT numbers are also extremely encouraging when going to a longer course like this, and with his approach numbers maintaining this level of consistency, hitting over 60% of his approaches inside 24 feet, I do not have any issues hopping on board this week.

Large-field GPP Value Option

Stephan is probably best used in deeper field tournaments but certainly worth noting if it turns out Hank or another value becomes very chalky in this range. Stephan has split time between the Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) and the PGA Tour this year. He has had a strong run on the PGA Tour the past 3 events, finishing 17 - 14 - 30. Last week he was near the top of the field in Driving Accuracy (71%) which is always a good sign to see where a players confidence level is.

Jaeger Ready To Pop in Tennessee

Looking for a dart play that will be WAY off the radar? Jaeger Bombs might fit that bill as he arrives having not picked up a top 25 since the Shriners in November. However, he recently picked up a Web.com Tour win down in Knoxville. Long-time fans might not be too surprised that he popped in Tennessee since this is where Jaeger settled when arriving from Germany. He went to prep school in Chattanooga and then attended the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. He’s very familiar with the state and should be quite comfortable this week. For someone that fired a 58 while on the Web.com Tour, going low is no issue for Jaeger. A high-risk, high-reward, GPP option this week.

Stephan Jaeger hopeful to build on a Web.Com victory

Stephan Jaeger PGA rookie season has not gone as planned. Fueled by 3 wins in the 2017 Web.Com season, Jaeger put himself in the position to be a rookie worth keeping an eye on this year. Plagued by overall poor play, Jaeger has only made one top 25 in 17 starts this season on the PGA Tour. Having not qualified for last week's Players Championship, Jaeger took the Web.Com Tour in order to keep his game sharp. With back to back rounds of 64 on the weekend, Jaeger claimed his fourth career victory on the Web.Com Tour and now heads into this week with perhaps a bit more confidence. The 2018 Byron Nelson will provide an opportunity for young players to gain valuable points in the FedEx Cup race. The combination of a new course and the lack of overall talent in the field should level out the playing field a bit this week. Currently projected for a very low ownership number this week, Jaeger is the type of player that could be a difference maker in your GPP lineups.

Stephan Jaeger looks to build on a positive course history

This week more than most will be a battle to make sense of the wide variety of incomplete information that a lesser-known PGA Tour event offers. Lost in the struggle of trying to find players worth trusting, is the fact that the Web.com Tour played a tournament at this course in the previous two seasons. One such player with a bit of success at this course is PGA Tour rookie Stephan Jaeger. Fueled by 6 top 25 finishes including two wins, Jaeger was able to finish inside the top six in the year-end Web.com Tour standings last season. One of Jaeger's top 25 finishes came at last year's Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship where he fired a second round 62 on his way to an 11th place finish. With only one top 25 finish in his twelve starts this season, Jaeger heads into this week with the advantage of having fond memories at this venue. Like many other players in this week's field, Jaeger will look to take advantage of this great opportunity to gain points and improve his standing in this year's FedEx Cup race. Reasonably priced across the industry, Jaeger makes for a great play in almost any format for the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship.

FanDuel lineup building strategy

The new FanDuel golf product offers gamers a chance to experience a fun new format. Rosters on FanDuel consist of 8 players that all fit under a $60,000 salary cap. The increased roster size greatly decreases the chances of getting an entire roster through to weekend play. Teams that get as few as five players through to the weekend have a great chance to compete in a almost any format. The top 60 and ties make the cut for the U.S. Open. This smaller number of players making the cut provides us an opportunity to look at roster building in order to possible gain an edge. Try to look at using two of your roster spots as a throw away play. Many balanced and well thought out lineups will struggle to get a high number of players through to the weekend. If you take your two rosters spots and put in sub $4,800 players in then you have at least 8,300 a player to spend for the final six roster spots. As long as your top end picks play well, then your last two rosters spots should not hurt your team. This week we also have a few players in the sub $4,800 range that provide value. Two such plays are Scottie Scheffler and Stephan Jaeger. Scheffler is senior on the University of Texas golf team, and is currently ranked as the 47th best amateur in the world. With his second web.com victory of the year last week, Jaeger is on the fast track to the PGA tour. Jaeger played his way into the U.S. Open via sectional qualifying and provides a great value for his price. The 2 for 1 roster strategy opens up a world of possibilities, and if you get lucky enough to have one of your sub $4,800 players make the cut, then you have a great chance to take down a GPP.
