Week 16 Kings: WRs & TEs

Odell Beckham Jr. ($9,000) – When selecting a DFS wide receiver there is nothing more appealing than a guy that is being force fed the football, which is exactly the case here. The Giants are making a point of getting the ball to Beckham on a weekly basis. Last week, Beckham saw another 15 targets which he turned into 12 receptions, 143 yards and three TDs. He is the hottest WR in the NFL and should certainly be considered this week. For a comprehensive listing of the target leaders, check out the RotoGrinders’ NFL Targets page.

Jordy Nelson ($7,700) – Jordy Nelson’s price of $7,700 sits quite a bit lower than the other top-end wide receivers on DK. This price break makes Nelson a great target because he possesses the same upside as these other elite NFL wide receivers. The Packers offense struggled last week versus the tough defense of the Buffalo Bills. I fully expect this potent offense to get back on track this week versus the weak defense of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jeremy Maclin ($6,500) – Jeremy Maclin also has a very nice price tag on DK at just $6,500. Maclin and the entire Eagles’ passing game land a great week 16 match-up versus the awful pass defense of the Redskins. Washington has a solid run defense, however their pass defense ranks amongst the worst the in the NFL. You can count on a very pass heavy attack from the Eagles; therefore it is hard to imagine Maclin not being involved.

Marques Colston ($4,600) – Colston provides us a great opportunity to get very cheap exposure to the highest over/under of the week (56). Colston has been solid in his last two games with at least five catches and 65 yards in each contest. The price is great and the match-up is elite, therefore Colston is a very solid week 16 value play.

GPP

Demaryius Thomas ($8,500) – The Broncos passing game has a very tough match-up on Monday night versus the Bengals, who rank as the second best pass defense in the NFL. The Match-up makes Thomas a GPP only play; however, as we have seen so many times from the Manning/Thomas combo, they are very capable of huge performance in these situations. This tough match-up will leave Thomas very under owned which makes him an ideal GPP candidate.

Tight End

Rob Gronkowski ($7,000) – The New England Patriots are the best team in the NFL at exposing their opponents weaknesses. At this point in the season it has become very obvious that the Jets have a solid run defense and a very poor pass defense. Tom Brady will drop back very frequently in this game and you can expect him to connect with his top target, Rob Gronkowski. Gronk has a very friendly $7,000 price for week 16.

Travis Kelce ($4,600) – Kelce is finally playing the high number snaps that we’ve all been looking for all season long and the results have been awesome. Kelce has compiled a total of 12 catches for 169 yards and a TD in his last two games. His price is phenomenal at just $4,600, which makes him a great week 16 value play at the tight end position.

GPP

Julius Thomas ($4,800) – Julius Thomas makes for the ultimate GPP play each week until he shows some consistency in his game. Thomas returned from injury last week and caught only one ball for 30 yards. Thomas has shown multiple touchdown upside and plays for a very potent offense, for these reason, he makes for a great GPP play.
