Thursday, September 21st

I’ve got some exciting news to kick things off today. The Diamondbacks are not playing in San Diego tonight! That’s not the only reason we don’t have to worry about a good pitcher ruining our lineups. We also don’t have to worry about that because there aren’t any good pitchers going tonight. Of course that’s not quite true, but the four biggest name pitchers all have some issues to worry about. Let’s dig in and see what we see.

THURSDAY NIGHT PITCHING

We’ve got two of the top pitchers who are returning from injury and are basically unusable in James Paxton and Jake Arrieta. Then we’ve got two ground ball pitchers who have been up and down and all around with Dallas Keuchel and Carlos Martinez. The next two best pitchers sound a little unexciting with Tanner Roark and J.A. Happ. There is one pitcher in this group that I’m pretty high on, but you’ll have to read on to see who it is. And it’s not who you think it is.
