NFL Reid Option: Week 5

Each week, Sammy Reid will break down each position in detail, pinpointing his favorite plays at various salary ranges. Who should we be focusing our core on this week? Read below to find out!

Week 7

I knew it was bad the moment it happened. I had cut a quick hitch back to the middle of the field, and as I was tackled down, I landed on the ball. With the ball pinned under my right collarbone, a 230 pound behemoth stumbled and fell ass first directly onto my shoulder blade, and I heard the front of my shoulder crunch like a mouthful of Doritos. I was afraid I’d never be able to throw again.Thankfully – after a lot of rehab – I did recover, well enough to play semi-pro ball for a few seasons.

In all likelihood, Aaron Rodgers will be ok too… eventually. But we’ve probably lost him for the season, and that sucks. Especially when we’ve also lost arguably the game’s best RB (David Johnson), arguably the best defender of the past five years (JJ Watt), the league’s best guard (Marshall Yanda), and the league’s best young receiver (OBJ). Not to mention a promising rookie talent in Dalvin Cook, touchdown scoring machine TE Tyler Eifert, small-man hero Darren Sproles, Superbowl hero Julian Edelman, upstart Chris Carson, the talented Allen Robinson, elite cover man Jason Verrett, and the sublime Eric Berry. And we’re only through six weeks.
