MLB DFS Tournament Strategy: Opening Day

MLB DFS tournament play is unlike that of any other sport. Predicting outcomes with precision is difficult, and player variance is near its peak. There are special considerations when constructing lineups in order for you to find success in the long term. Each weekday, our DFS analysts will examine a specific tournament format and help you understand the application of strategy, via concepts such as pitcher pairings, roster construction, stacking, leverage, ownership, variance, and more.

Opening Day

Opening Day is here! So long T.J. McConnell and Ryan Arcidiacono chalk nights, baseball is back!

With the new baseball season comes the addition of a new article, an article that discusses GPP strategy. Each weekday myself, meansy, or another one of our analysts will dissect the main slate and the best way(s) to strategically attack GPPs for that specific slate. Each day we will primarily focus on a specific tournament format (i.e. multi-entry, 3-max, single-entry) but may throw in tidbits for other formats. Opening Day has some of the biggest multi-entry tournaments of the season so that format will be our primary focus for today’s article.
