This weekend, we head to Bristol Motor Speedway for the Food City 500. The race is Sunday at 3pm ET on FS1. The track and NASCAR decided to go back to PJ1 this weekend. Cup practice was a tire mess, and even with the PJ1 and Xfinity rubber, the cars couldn’t lay down rubber. This made for some interesting practice and qualifying. Group A had much better track conditions than Group B in practice. As I mentioned on the Breakdown Show, practice data is a little misleading this weekend. I tried to find a good base between the two practices, but it’s tough when it’s this different. With the lack on practice data, I’m going to be relying on 2025 speed, Bristol data, weighing the Spring race a little more than planned, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend. This is one of the toughest builds we’ve had this season.
NASCAR DFS Picks: Food City 500
The stages are 125, 125, and 250, which is a total of 500 laps. With 500 laps, we’re looking at 225 fastest laps and 125 laps led points on DraftKings. On FanDuel, we have 50 points for laps led and 50 points for laps completed. Bristol has a lot of variance, but dominators are so important on both FanDuel and DraftKings. We typically see 1 to 3 drivers lead at least 100 laps in this race. There have been at least 2 dominators in 8 of the last 9 races, and most of the time, we see a third or even fourth dominator because of fastest laps.
