This weekend, we head to Phoenix Raceway for the GOVX 200. The race is Saturday at 5:00 PM ET on The CW. Phoenix Raceway is a 1-mile oval and considered a short-flat track. I think Phoenix comps best with Richmond, but I also use New Hampshire and Iowa. Teams have run this same tire combo at Phoenix since 2022. The race winner has started inside the top 5 in 7 of the last 10 races here. I’ll be using recent Phoenix data, short-flat track data, 2023 speed, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend. We’ve had Daytona, Atlanta, and COTA to start the season, and this is our first “normal-ish” type of track of the season. I’ll be weighing practice a little heavier than normal, and I think roster construction is important after focusing more on limiting top-10 drivers in the last 3 races.

NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS Picks: GOVX 200

The stages are 45, 45, and 110, which is a total of 200 laps. With 200 laps, we’re looking at a potential of 90 fastest-lap points and 50 laps-led points. There have been at least 8 cautions for at least 46 laps in 6 of the last 10 Xfinity races here. Even after the cautions, we’re looking at 120ish dominator points. Looking at recent optimal lineups here, roster construction has been all over the place. If we look at the 6 races here with this tire combo since 2022, 3 races have had 1 main dominator but all 6 races have featured 1 strong dominator play.
