Friends, Romans, Countrymen …

Football is finally here! After weeks (which felt like years) of preseason snap count reports, depth chart speculation, and coachspeak analysis, at last the real deal now sits right in front of us, glistening like the Hope F***ing Diamond.

To the loyal readers of The Reid Option, welcome back. And to you new readers, I appreciate you being here. I can’t express how much the response from this column last season meant to me, and how wired I am to be back doing this damn thing with you.

Because let’s be honest – NFL is the GOAT DFS sport. It has more drama than a Bachelorette season finale, sicker sweats than a Hunger Games reaping, and bigger prize pools than a Dr. Evil ransom demand. In terms of sheer enjoyment, for me NFL DFS falls somewhere between stacking poker chips and peeling sunburned skin off my body. So yeah, pretty damned high.

So let’s lay the groundwork for what you can expect from this column, aside from bad jokes and late publishings:
