PGA Value Breakdown: Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship and WGC-Dell Match Play

Selecting the absolute best value out there is crucial to cruising to top of the leaderboards. PGA guru Josh “futureoffantasy” Culp dives into the player pool, picking out his favorite value options for the week’s tournament.

Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship

This week we prep for the first PGA TOUR event held in the Dominican Republic.

The course is one that’s been used on the Web.com Tour and plenty of those Web.com Tour graduates are in the field this week.

There aren’t many stars in the field this week but if you want to hitch your wagon to the top-tier talents, it will be crucial to sneak in some good value plays. Here are some of my favorite values this week:

Nate Lashley ($7400 DK / $8800 FD / $14300 FDRFT)

It’s hard to find course horses on a track that’s never been played on the PGA TOUR circuit. However, Nate Lashley is the defending champ here at the Corales Golf Club (Web.com Tour event). During that win, he racked up 22 birdies. More impressively, he swallowed just two bogeys all week. That bogey avoidance has carried over to the PGA TOUR as he’s avoided bogeys at a higher clip than the field in 7-of-10 starts. His best finish during his rookie campaign is a T29 at the CareerBuilder Challenge but it wouldn’t be surprising at all if he sets a new season best this week, on a course where he’s already won.
