Saturday, January 20th
Tonight, we have a seven game slate to choose from with four teams (Heat, Grizzlies, Jazz, Raptors) on the second half of a back-to-back. Let’s have a look at some of my favorite plays for the slate.
Point Guard
PG: Eric Bledsoe, Milwaukee Bucks, $28
Both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Malcolm Brogdan are out for tonight’s game against the 76ers tonight, leaving a ton of minutes and usage up for grabs on the Bucks tonight. I will definitely look to some punts for value on the Bucks in GPPs, but my main focus will be on the players that should pick up most of the usage. With both Giannis and Brogdan off the floor so far this season, Bledsoe has a 37.3% usage rate and he should pick up a few extra minutes to his 31.5 minutes per game average. The scare in this one is that the Bucks offense will be out of synch and the game plays slow like the Celtics did against Philly the other night, but I’m not as worried as the Bucks are not the type of defense the Celtics are, as they rank 24th in defensive rating, and I expect Philly to set the tone in pace in this one, as they rank 2nd in pace. The Bucks are only 6.5-point underdogs, so hopefully this game stays close and Bledsoe could be on his way to a monster game. The Bucks are simply going to need Bledsoe and Middleton for as much scoring as possible and both players are capable of taking over. The price is just too low for over 30 minutes and 37% usage.
