A Duck for All Seasons: A Return to SHAME
I admit that I haven’t written much, as of late. Not that anyone has been screaming for me to write, but I reached a point where I needed to be motivated to write something.
Today, I have that motivation.
A small-but-vocal group of people (and you know who you are – and I thank you) started hitting me up to bring back the Tournament of Shame. Admittedly, I was lukewarm to the concept. Getting people to enter the tournament was always tough, and when the tournaments happened, not everyone would follow through (as can be seen on our list of shames; even I haven’t done one, yet – thanks, DC).
But the loyal fans of the TOS kept asking, and asking, so I finally said, “Let’s do it.”
THE TOURNAMENT OF SHAME IS BACK.
Some changes to the TOS. We have now moved the tournament to FanDuel, who has gladly offered to run the tournament RAKE FREE for this inaugural event. I will not be doing this every week, but during moments when a special shame merits holding a tournament, or when the loyal TOSers (are they tossers ?) insist I do one.
So, I guess, that brings us to an important part of the TOS: what is the first shame this year? Well, Kiefer Sutherland has a country music album coming out (yes, THAT Kiefer Sutherland) on August 19th. I am asking last place to review the album, song by song, on YouTube. Some of these reviews have turned out great. Some, not so much (I’m looking at you, Hambazaza).
For this to work, we need you to sign up, we need you get your friends to sign up, we need to respect the shaming. I believe in you. Together, we can move mountains.
