Very interesting… What I’d like to know is the average ROI of the 100+ entries guys

  • baseballs

The winner has been in a different entry group each week.

    Week 1 – 50-99 entries
    Week 2 – 6-10 entries
    Week 3 – 100+ entries
    Week 4 – 2 entries
    Week 5 – 25-49 entries

If you exclude the winner each week, here is the ROI for each group:

    1 entry (-57%)
    2 entries (-61%)
    3-5 entries (-39%)
    6-10 entries (-40%)
    11-24 entries (-45%)
    25-49 entries (-28%)
    50-99 entries (-44%)
    100+ entries (-25%)

Fantastic! Any idea how this compares to the standard payout GPPs at DK as far as multi-entry numbers and ROI for each group? The 100K Gridiron $27 buy-in might be a good comparison.

Looking at these ROI #s, DK needs to flatten their prize structure; definitely too much all or nothing. Combined with the $$ bump to $40, this will be very discouraging to newbies and small players. Perhaps even more frightening, even for the pros/sharks, are the HUGE losses across the board… these 25%-60%+ losses are sobering, to say the least.

As a long-time former horseplayer, I can tell you that us minnows need a real chance, for future growth (eg; Pick 6 for horses) ; otherwise just a lottery, and smells VERY much like gambling, instead of being a game of skill… Remember, that’s the only twist keeping the whole industry from going the way of on-line poker.
