Bankroll Challenge 9/26 Blog #6

Hey Everyone,
My name’s Nathan Van Hare, username “nvanhare” on both DraftKings and FanDuel and welcome to the CS:GO breakdown and Bankroll Challenge Blog. This blog aims to take the reader through my thought process when attacking slates as well as provide myself, and others if they wish to join me, with a fun esports based bankroll challenge! The challenge started about a week ago with a starting roll of $500 and as of the slate earlier today we are at $510.28. We had a pretty rough run of gpps and cash in CS:GO slates but our double ups today and our LOL Gpps and cash contests have brought us back to a bit above starting roll. Tonight we have another slate to talk about, the PAL slate. I’ll also be playing some H2Hs and DUs for the 2 gamer LOL slates but I won’t be playing much Gpps.

h3.Bankroll: $510.28

Contest Entries: $10 H2H and DUs, $1 One Tap 14 entries, $0.25 Jukebox 14 entries, $6 Showdown H2H and DUs, $21 LOL H2H and DUs

Bren (51.5%) vs Beyond (48.5%)

This is the closest matchup on the slate odds wise at a near 50/50 split. In the last 3 series, Beyond has taken 2 series and Bren has taken 1. Beyond leads on maps 5-3 and 113-96 on rounds.
For Bren we have our normal top 3 of Papichulo derek and witz. Over the last month, Derek has taken the lead and put up 0.77 fp/r with a 26% market share. He’s definitely the hot hand on this team and he’s priced terribly at $6.8K so he makes for a great value play on the slate given the other options. After Derek both papi and witz are our next best options. Bost post a near 0.7 fp/r over the last month and have a team share of 23%. After these top 3 I don’t mind taking some share of Pro. but I’m almost definitely not using micr0.
For Beyond Olivia is the clear #1 and has the most upside. He has a share of 25% of the teams fantasy points and has put up above 0.6 fp/r over the last 3 months. After him, Our next best options become Kntz and MAIROLLS. I definitely favor MAIROLLS here as he’s beyond cheap on this slate and makes our best value on the slate by far. Over the last month he’s had 0.56 fp/r and holds a 22% share of the team. I definitely like using both Kntz and MAIROLLS in stacks or as one offs. qqGod and stk are at the bottom of my list and I likely will have a bit of each but not much and only in stacks.

Tyloo (86.8%) vs Checkmate (13.2%)

One of the the two massive favorites on the slate, Tyloo is definitely a force to be reckoned with. These two have never faced off but from history we can see that tyloo is definitely the better side. Checkmate has come out strong in their matchups recently but I still strongly lean Tyloo.
For Tyloo we have some interesting pricings. Dank1ng has the highest share and production on this team and is priced up at 10.8k. However, the rest of the team has relatively equal fp/r and team shares and are priced all over the place. Because of this I definitely would rather use the cheap options on this team in order to pay up for the top spots on teams like Vici or the higher priced guys on Beyond and Bren. I definitely think Summer and somebody are very mispriced compared to their teammates and I don’t mind going way over on them. However theyre also likely to be the chalkiest Tyloo players so there are pros and cons.
For Checkmate, if we want to take that leverage route, blitz and kaz are our top two from the team. They each hold a 25% team share and have 0.6 fp/r. Together they account for more than 50% of the teams fantasy points and as a result have major upside if they manage to pull off the upset here. The rest of the team is pretty even with around 16% share and around 0.43 fp/r so all make for good stacking options in 2-3 stacks of checkmate.

Vici (80.6%) vs Tiger (19.4%)

Lastly, we have another massive underdog in Tiger, and rightfully so with Vici firing on all cylinders lately. One interesting point is that in the last 3 matchups, Tiger has won two of them. Definitely something to keep in mind for GPP builds as I’d likely be a bit over on TIG in this matchup.
Tiger, except for their main option, are priced dirt cheap here. Our top option, and priced accordingly, is erkaSt. He has a 25% team share and has a massive ceiling. After erkaSt we have kabal, he has a 23% team share over the last month and a near 0.8 fp/r over the last month as well. He possesses huge upside in a win and definitely makes for a good play in stacks and one offs. Next we have dobu and nin9, neither make for a great play one off but make for good options in stacks. ncl I doubt I touch as his rates are pretty awful for his team.
VICI has some great options but are priced in a tough way to roster. JamYoung and kaze are the top of the list on VICI with around a 0.8 fp/r and a combined 52% share of the team’s fantasy points. JamYoung has the higher ceiling overall but is also priced at $10.4K so it makes for a difficult roster decision between him and the other priced up options. kaze is also incredibly expensive at $9.6K so he makes for a tough buy as well. After the top two, both aumaN and zhokiNg have a near 20% share and still make for decent roster decisions. I like having a bunch of VICI as well because they’ve shown they have a propensity for destroying teams in a dominating fashion.

Goodluck to all playing!
