Breaking down 5/27 Late Slate - Wednesday edition
Hey grinders, I am looking to make this a regular post. I will be breaking every aspect of the days slate. My goal for this blog is to tie up the whole slate into just one piece of writing.
This is for the 4 late slate games only. The early predictions are going great.

Drastic Ballpark Shifts
h.3 Max Scherzer
Scherzer is coming to Wrigley to take on the Cubs. He is certainly getting the rough side of a ballpark shifts, but I am not worried. I expect Scherzer to come out and shut the Cubs down.
My Top 3 Pitchers
Max Scherzer
Scherzer will be up against the Chicago Cubs tonight. The Cubs strikeout a lot and score a lot. I expect the ladder to be non existent tonight and Scherzer to have a great outing.
Lance Lynn
I like Lynn’s floor tonight against the Diamondbacks. Arizona has an offense that is about league average and does not scare me against a sold righty like Lance Lynn. I like Lynn to throw around 7 innings, 6 strikeouts and 2 ER.
Garrett Richards (GPP ONLY )
Richards has great strikeout upside against the Padres. The Padres are not intimidating against righties and see Richards either having a great ga,e or struggling and getting pulled early.
Top 2 Stacks
I will be doing 2 stacks as the slate only includes 4 games.
Cardinals
Josh Collmenter had a few great starts in the beginning of this year but has been returning to the real Collmenter. I am looking for the cardinals to string some hits together than hit some bombs with guys on base.
Dodgers
The dodgers will be facing Alex Wood tonight. Wood is a good pitcher, but struggles vs righties. The Dodgers have some righties that can hit it over the fence and thats exactly what I expect to happen.
2 To Dong
Matt Adams
Adams will be facing off with Collmenter and I think he has a great chance to hit one towards the arc. I look for Adams to hit one out tonight.
Ian Desmond
Lester is a true ace. He does have some struggles vs righties though. With the wind blowing out, I would not be surprised to see Desmond poke one out.
2 to Steal a Base
Denard Span
The only hard part about this will be Span getting on base. If he gets on base, he will steal.
Kolten Wong
I like wong to get on base a couple times, and if the situation presents itself, to take a bag.
