Bright Ideas: 12/29 The Final Hurrah for December
I’ve been playing DFS for about 4 years now. I normally play small buy-in large field GPP’s and have found moderate success. I do not play DFS to get rich however I am still holding on to that dream. I play mostly for entertainment purposes, so this blog is not an attempt to find fantasy gold, but rather a way to spice things up a bit. I have always wanted to find a system that bucks the popular trend and goes against the grain so to speak. I know the importance of being contrarian and differentiating roster construction and I hope this helps me, or anyone else who struggles with this, kind of think outside the box. I will construct one large field $0.25 GPP entry and break it down. I will use FanDuel pricing, and again, this is for entertainment purposes only.
Reflection and Analysis for the month of December
I am not going to do an analysis for the lineup from 12/28 but I will tell you how it did. 313.2 was what it scored, but that wasn’t quite enough as the cash line ended up at 319.9. Admittedly this let the air out of my balloon. I was pretty happy to see how the lineup was doing last night even though James Johnson got sick and exited the game after only 8 minutes and ended up being the low score dropped but such is life on the large Friday slates when there are so many games and very high cash lines.
I have decided instead of stopping this blog altogether I will be selective in the days in which I chose to write for the upcoming months of NBA DFS. Writing this blog daily is a grind, but it is something I would miss if I stopped, so to get the best of both worlds I will limit it to about two times per week. If I had to predict which days it will most likely be the smaller slate days, ie; 3-7 game slates.
I sincerely appreciate any of you that took the time to read this blog and thank you for your time and interest. This entry will be the final entry for December and seeing as how I am sitting in the red by a nickle I hope this lineup can cash and put me in the black for this month.
12/29 Saturday 8 Game Slate
I am going to keep this short and sweet for today. I am not going to analyze any games, nor am I going to do write ups for the players I am going to roster. I simply am going to put a lineup out there and let it speak for itself since there will not be a R&A for it as it is the last lineup of 2018 for this blog.
There are a couple of high total games and the highest will be the most popular in New Orleans. AD and Harden will most likely be the popular studs on the slate since they are showing projected ownerships in the top 3 only surpassed by the ever popular Thomas Satoransky with John Wall out. I do think that Beal is a lock and load with Wall out on any game against any opponent. I am leaning toward fading Satoransky and paying up at both PG spots for some lower owned studs due to the match-up and other options. I also am liking a few FUNTS for this build since there is some really viable value on this slate. So here is the final blog build for 2018…
PG – Kyrie Irving $9,600 Kemba Walker $9,900
SG – Bradley Beal $8,400 Austin Rivers _$3,600
SF – Jeron Blossomgame #3,600 Rudy Gay $6,000
PF – P. J. Tucker $4,800 Derrick Favors $5,800
C – Jusuf Nurkic $8,000
There you have it Gents…. I hope this lineup can cash and put me back in the black for December…
November Total: $2.98 LOSS
December Total with 1 Build left: DOWN $.05
GOOD LUCK TONIGHT AND IN 2019!!!!
