Bundesliga - SCA Matrix - Apr 17
The SCA (Shot Creating Actions) Metric – It is one of the best determinants of how a team operates and succeeds. This metric allows you to identify the potential attacking opportunities of an individual team against their direct opponent. In other words, it signals which team will have the greater advantage on the field.
A nice 5-game slate for Saturday to replace the uneventful EPL this weekend. After Bayern’s elimination from the UCL mid-week, you would expect them to come out strong as their only focus now is on winning the title. However, they have a tougher task ahead of them this weekend and their SCA metric takes quite the hit. Especially now without Lewandowski, their top scorer, that SCA metric may still be a bit inflated.
The one team that truly stands out happens to be Freiburg with a huge boost in SCA. Schalke even gets a bigger boost. Because these two teams are two of the worst in the league, it becomes an even playing field so don’t expect either team to sit back and defend. If you find some decent value here, it is probably best to take it. The same can be said for Augsburg v. Arminia.
You then have to decide on whether to use Kostic or not as your main cash lineup piece. The matchup isn’t the greatest but no one has a better floor than him on this slate. Lastly, I cannot make up my mind around the Stuttgart v. Berlin game as both teams seem very similar. Kruse to me is one of the top GPP plays of the slate. Sosa on the other side makes for a nice cash play due to his set piece role.
Good luck to everyone! And remember, the MLS is back!
