CBB Daily Plays: Tuesday, February 16th

With still no NBA, it’s time to try some college basketball. Check out who I like on Tuesday’s games in each price range. It’s good to see some bigger tournaments in college basketball this week.

Stud Plays:

Monte Morris (Iowa State): Morris is one of my favorite guards to roster in college basketball. He may not have the 40 or 50 points upside, but he has a consistent floor around 30 FD points. Over his last four games he is averaging 34 FD points. In the 1st meeting with Baylor this season, Morris had 21 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Maurice Watson Jr. (Creighton): Watson is playing his best basketball of the season right now. Over the last two games, Watson is averaging 25 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals per game. You like that Watson is filling up the stat-sheet. In the 1st meeting against Butler, he scored 20 points and dished out 6 assists.

Other I like: Stefan Moody, Wade Baldwin, Malcolm Hill

Mid-Range Plays:

Kendrick Nunn (Illinois): The Fighting Illini have had a tough year, but finally they have a nice matchup against Rutgers. Rutgers will be without their best player in this game. A couple of games ago, Nunn had 10 points and 13 rebounds against Rutgers. He has scored double figures in nine out his last ten games.

Quinndary Weatherspoon (Mississippi State): Weatherspoon has a much more attractive price on DK. He is averaging 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists over his last three games. He is also good for a couple steals a game.

Other I like: Lester Medford, DeVaughn Allen, JaQuan Lyle, Jaysean Paige

Value Plays:

Charles Mann (Georgia): Mann had a very tough start of SEC play, but he has turned up his play in the second half of SEC play. Last game against Mississippi State, he had 21 points and 7 rebounds. He has at least 20 FD points in six out of his last seven games.

Javan Felix (Texas): Felix has been playing his best basketball of the season right down. He is averaging 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game over his last three games. In the 1st meeting against West Virginia he had 17 points. I only target players against WVU, when they’re on the road.

Other I like: Codi Miller-McIntyre, Bishop Daniels, Raphael Davis

Stud Plays:

Michael Carrera (South Carolina): If Carrera was playing a bigger program he would be a bigger name in college basketball. While South Carolina struggled against Kentucky, Carrera didn’t. He scored 25 points, brought down 10 rebounds and had 3 blocks. He did struggle the last time he played Missouri, but don’t be fooled by that. He is still underpriced on DK.

Kelan Martin (Butler): Martin is one of the hottest players in college basketball right now. Over his last four games, Martin is averaging 23 points and 9 rebounds per game. In the 1st meeting with Creighton, he scored 22 points and had 11 boards.

Other I like: Luke Kornet, Damian Jones, Devin Thomas

Mid-Range Plays:

Taurean Prince (Baylor): This is a great matchup for Prince and Baylor. Iowa State plays at a fast pace and not a lot of defense. This is the highest total of the night. In the 1st meeting with Iowa State, Prince scored 18 points, had 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. Prince has scored in double figures in eight straight games.

Jamel Artis (Pitt): Wow, has Artis priced dropped especially on FD. There is no question he has struggled recently but those where all in tough matchups. Now he gets one of the worst defenses in the country in Wake Forest. Last game, WF gave up 99 points to NC State.

Other I like: Wesley Iwundu, Ricardo Gathers, Jalen Jones, Jae’Sean Tate

Value Plays:

Kevin Puryear (Missouri): Puryear has been playing his best basketball of the season in February. Over his last three game,s he is averaging 17 points and 6 rebounds per game. You could also play Ryan Rosburg at the same price level for Missouri.

DJ Johnson (Kansas State): Johnson has been very consistent for the Wildcats this season. Over the last three games, he is averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds per game. He is really underpriced on DK.

Other I like: Andrew Chrabascz, Mindaugas Kacinas, Maverick Morgan, Chris Washburn
