CBB DK 1/29: The D'Angelo Russell Show

Last couple nights have been interesting to say the least in CBB. But hey, it’s way better than the NBA even though no one agrees with that.

Time to move on to today’s 7 game slate. Which I think is just a perfect # 7-9. Hell, I may even name my first kid Seven. Sorry George Costanza. Onto the games.

D’Angelo Russell 10,300

Do I even need to write anything about him? The guy is an absolute stud. You don’t beat Maryland with bigs. You beat them with your guard play. OSU is lucky cause they have 0 bigs. Russell is priced accordingly, but even in GPP’s I don’t think you can fade. I mean you can, but good luck. The value plays tomorrow will be small and thin so fitting him in may be tough, but I think it’s plausible.

Delon Wright 8900

Wright is one of the most talented guards in America. He does everything from Utah. My only concern with this game is blowout potential. UCLA is bad and Utah will pull their guys when up. Wright can very easily reach 35.6 but I see him more around 25-27 and being pulled for the blowout. Again, you can’t go wrong with him as he is probably one of the most consistent CBB DFS guys

Askia Booker 8100

Booker is what is known in the Seinfeld world as a chucker. The guy just shoots and shoots and shoots and for well reason, his other main options are out. I have read Josh Smith didn’t travel but can’t find Xavier Johnson news. If both are again out, fire Booker up and watch the points add up against an awful USC team.

Kevin Bailey 6700

He missed all of December with a foot injury. In his return, he is putting Booker to shame and wants the title Chucker. He has only been avg’ing about 25 minutes which is a bit low for his price imo, but all he does is shoot. That’s all he is going to have to do for Portland to have a chance at Gonzaga.

David Kravish 7300

Kravish has stepped up in Wallace’s slump and is their main force inside. He draws a tough matchup inside today vs Hawkinson but I think Kravish can do just enough to reach 4x and should be low owned in the gpp’s to give you an advantage.

Others to consider: Wiltjer, Layman, Boatright

Value Town

Jaron Hopkins 5700

Again, with Colorado’s never ending injuries, they aren’t very deep. Hopkins is going to play 30+ minutes and his last 3 have been 28/19/37. He’s good to fit in if you are using Mr Russell

Ike Irogebu 4700

Ike is some good salary relief. He had an extremely good week and a half stretch where he went 20/26/31. However he followed this up with 2/14/12. I think he gets back on track tonight against Cal at home.

Devin Booker 5300

This breaks one of my DFS rules. Never play a Kentucky player. However, Booker’s minutes have been increasing and the Harrison’s decreasing. Coach won’t start him due to his never ending trust in the Harrison’s, but Booker pads the stat sheet when he is in there. Anyone from UK is a risky play, but sometimes that’s what wins you a GPP

Other options to consider: Jabari Bird, Rodney Purvis, Marc Loving, Karnowski

UCLA players. I just cannot bring myself to roster one. If you think they can provide value, more power to you.

UConn/Cincy- If you like missed shots, bad offense and a boring game, this one is for you. If you like DFS points, this one isn’t.

Missouri players- DFS CBB Rule #2. Don’t play guys AGAINST Kentucky

Death Train Conductor

I really should copyright this because man, I am 4/4. We need a 5th to complete a starting 5 since I started this series. So without further adieu..

Kam Williams

Again, any and all suggestions are appreciated to make this better or any topics you would like discussed
