CBB DK March 3rd slate

March madness has started and what an atmosphere in Ames last night. Down 21 in the 2nd half they exploded for about 60 pts in the last 16 minutes of the game. The combo of the OU/ISU, Prince, and Clifford did well for me yesterday so hopefully you used those guys and didn’t pair them up with Cuse players, Taylor, or Brogdon. Looking at today there should be some fun games again and at an early glance there isn’t a lot of “studs” fantasy wise so fitting multiple 2nd tier players will be possible. Large slate so I will highlight some of the games I like or the value players to play.

Iowa vs Indy 144 O/U

The highest O/U on the slate this game has a lot to play for. Both teams need wins and Indy is a slight favorite so it should be a close game. I will for sure have either White or Uthoff today. Which one is key. White has been playing out of his mind recently, and is getting back to the FT line where he has been for the last 4 years. Indy’s inside game is weak even with Perra back, so I’d lean White, but he’s $900 more than Uthoff. Try and get 1 of them in and it will pay off. Troy Williams is crazy athletic and he has matchup issues every game. If he is aggressive from the start I see no reason why he can’t get to 30pts.

Olaseni ($4300): CBB DFS would be easy if you can always project mins played. Olaseni can be a pt/min guy but apparently they want to play Woodbury just about the same amount of time. Since Indy gives up pts and gives them up in the paint look at Olaseni or Woodbury for your value options. I’d lean Olaseni just because he is way better as a basketball player.

Barlow ($5100): I think this is the game he comes back out of his shell. He’s been deferring to Dunham for good reason but I believe they will need Barlow to score tonight. His price is right about where it was when I rode his 6 game hot streak. He plays all the minutes so he just needs to shoot more to get over value today.

Norris ($4800): He has taken over Hale’s spot and hit value last game even after shooting 1 for 8. He’s almost a plug and play for me today since Obasohan’s price has risen a ton over the last 2 weeks.

Auburn vs Mizzou 136 O/U

The battle of the bad teams in the SEC doesn’t have much drama appeal but I will be using some guys from Mizzou today. I really like Williams, his price is about $500 more than I would have hoped but this is about the best matchup for him there is. He’s their go-to guy and can stretch Bowers to the perimeter or drive past him. He’s a lefty that gives him a boost in my eyes so take him and enjoy the 30 pt game.

Wright ($4600): He took a huge step back last game but anyone would after going 6 for 8 from 3, but still shot 50% from there and played 34 minutes. This is a much better matchup than at Georgia so while playing him and Williams together might be scary,as Mizzou is terrible, but it could pay off if they get to 70 pts.

West Virginia vs KU 140 O/U

This is the best game of the night as far as teams, and it could be decent for DFS lineups too. I can’t imagine Staten sitting out again in this one, but I can’t play him with the injury risk. I was late to the party at noticing his late scratch so I missed the ball on Carter. I won’t do that again. Ellis has been amazing over the last month but you will have to pay a big premium for him but it might be worth it. I’ve always liked Oubre’s game and if Self told me he would play 30 minutes I’d plug him in too.

Carter ($5500): If Staten is out Carter is a must start. He’s already close to a must start as it is, but his value goes down significantly if Staten plays. WV minutes are all over the board, but Carter has played 25+ minutes in the last 5 games and 38 last game with Staten out.

Harrison ($4200): He took Roper’s minutes and if he can get another start he will make value again in this tempo boost vs NCst. He went for 19.75 last game vs NCst so a repeat of that at home will be well over value.

Law ($4700): He burned me a bit last game but it was a difficult matchup so I’ll give him a pass. He still played 26 minutes but shot 2 for 8 and only had 2 rebounds. I think he is still very much in play today at home vs a Michigan team that will give up rebounds. Play him again, but be careful since this game is projected to be in the 115’s.

Value must plays…

Carter is Staten is out
Harrison if he starts

Good Luck
