Contrarian Corner August 1st
Welcome to the Contrarian Corner. This blog will be about doing things a little differently than what most of the Rotogrinders team recommends. Anyone can look at team totals and decide to stack the team with the highest total. What I attempt to do is stack teams that will be low owned and are in great spots, despite what the Vegas team total might be. This strategy has a high level of variance. I am not aiming to cash for the minimum, I am trying to win GPP’s.
I’m writing this as the early slate is currently
Happening. While I do have a Phillies stack, I don’t have all the right ingredients. UGH.
Cleveland and Tampa Bay worked out nicely yesterday. If only I had done well in selecting my pitchers I might of had a nice night. Yet, I bet Tampa Bay and that helped a ton.
In terms of tonight there really is no super chalky team on the slate. I suppose Boston will be the most popular, but even they don’t have a massive run total. In looking for contrarian options two teams stick out.
Toronto Blue Jays
Toronto mixed up the lineup and made a trade and all the sudden they are scoring a little more. Toronto will be my second stack tonight. A teams are viable against Baltimore.
Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays keep scoring and no one plays them. It seems to happen every single night. Another weak Boston starter in Andrew Cashner and another night to target the Tampa Bay offense. I’m calling a Ji-Man Choi homer.
This is my plan as this morning. I’m Milo741 on all the DFS sites. Follow along on twitter @wintheweekend, as I will post my bets as well. Good luck everyone.
