Contrarian Corner August 8th
Welcome to the Contrarian Corner. This blog will be about doing things a little differently than what most of the Rotogrinders team recommends. Anyone can look at team totals and decide to stack the team with the highest total. What I attempt to do is stack teams that will be low owned and are in great spots, despite what the Vegas team total might be. This strategy has a high level of variance. I am not aiming to cash for the minimum, I am trying to win GPP’s.
In the main slate tonight the Yankees and Red Sox will be the chalk. Yawn. This seems to happen all the time as they are both prolific offenses. You might be wondering why this blog is out to late today? Well, I broke a filling the other day and it has been difficult to get in right away to get it fixed. Finally, I think it’s all good, but my mouth does not feel great. Going to the dentist is one of my least favorite activities in life. I try to avoid, but here we are.
This slate is really strange and just like avoiding the dentist I eventually have to go. In the same vein, I am reluctantly playing the chalky Yankees. In terms of a contrarian play I have one team in mind.
I know the ball park sucks. The braves have been on fire. Freddie Freeman has been crushing the ball what feels like every night. Here we have an offense they is clicking and they will be very low owned on a small slate. I realize it is very tough to get a full five man stack on Draft Kings, but it can be done with some sacrificing at pitcher.
This is my plan as of right now. I’m Milo741 on all the DFS sites. Follow along on twitter @wintheweekend, as I will post my bets as well. Good luck everyone.
