Contrarian GPP Plays

Lebron James-I see Lebron as being the lowest owned of the 10K+ guys on Fanduel. I feel Harden will be the highest owned so that makes Lebron a nice lower owned 10K+ guy. This Cleveland team has been pretty bad to start the season. The loss of Kyrie is definitely showing and IT can not return soon enough to give the Cavs another playmaker other than Lebron. Indiana has been a competitive team for most of the season. So, Lebron should be on the court in crunchtime in the 4th quarter. Lebron should flirt with a triple double in this game and should net 50+ fantasy points. Indiana has no one who can cover Lebron between Oladipo/Bojan/Stephenson.

Nothing sticks out to me as a must play at PG however John Wall should find his way in your lineups. This should be a high scoring game with Vegas projecting it for 227 points. The only thing that should make you hesitate in playing Wall is the potential blowout factor. If PHX can keep this game under 10 points late in the 4th, Wall should be good for 50+ fantasy points.

James Harden #devin-booker)Devin Booker”:/players/devin-booker-18949 should be the highest owned SG plays of the night. Some other good plays in their price range include Derozan, Oladipo, and Jeremy Lamb. I have Lamb plugged in my lineup for now and he has been averaging about 29 fantasy points per night. I am curious to see who Snell will defend in this one as he is an underrated defensive player. Kyle Lowry started the season slow but is back to being himself in the last 3 games but Derozan is still putting up points. Gary Harris should cover Derozan which is of note as Harris is a good defensive player but the Vegas total is 215 points. The game is projected to be close as well which should mean Demar hits 40+ fantasy points.

Giannis should be the highest owned SF for high end plays while I see TJ Warren being a popular play in the 5k range. TJ started slow in yesterdays game but finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Joe Ingles is a nice pivot from TJ Warren. He is one of the most underrated players in this league and contributes in a lot of stats like rebounds, assists, and steals. I already mentioned Lebron being a nice pivot play earlier.

Kristaps Porzingis- He should be the highest owned PF play of the night and as long as the Knicks can stay in this game, Porzingis should have another monster game. Tim Hardaway Jr. is starting to step up which should take some of the defensive focus off Kristaps. Ben Simmons and Blake Griffin are good plays in place of Kristaps. I love Ben Simmons game and he is always a triple double threat. The only concern is Philly blows out the lowly Hawks tonight. Blake faces DAL and again we have to pay attention to a possible blowout in this game. DAL is giving up 49 fantasy points to the PF spot.

The Center ownership should be spread out. The high priced plays include KAT and Boogie. The mid range plays include Deandre, Capela, and Horford. I like Capela for tonight as he draws the Enes Kanter who plays no defense. Capela could flirt with a 20/10 game in this one. I like Big Al as well tonight and a line of 18 points 10 rebounds and 5 assts seems attainable.

Value Plays:
The PG spot is full of value tonight with JJ Barea, Jarrett Jack, Jamal Murray, TJ McConnell, Mike James and Jameer Nelson. Its up to you to find the guys who hit 5 times value but I see a high scoring night on Fanduel in order to cash. Jack has really stepped up his game after being inserted into the starting lineup. He is not scoring much but giving you plenty of assits and sprinkling in some rebounds. Jamal Murray has been Jekyll and Hyde but has scored 39 and 27 fantasy points in his last 2 games.

Tyreke Evans, Rodney Hood, Gary Harris, Tim Hardaway Jr., Courtney Lee, and Marco Belinelli are some of the value plays at SG. I like Hardaway Jr. the most of this group but be aware that he can give you 35 fantasy points as likely as he gives you sub 15 fantasy points. Tyreke has really played well to start the year and in his last 3 games is averaging about 30 fantasy points.

Kelly Olynyk, John Collins, Al-Farouq Aminu, Serge Ibaka, and Ed Davis are some of the low priced plays at PF. Kelly has really stepped up with no Hassan Whiteside. In 4 of his last 5 games, Kelly is averaging about 30 fantasy points. He faces the lowly Bulls and should easily reach 30 fantasy points tonight. I like John Collins but it seems like he does not get enough playing time. When he plays he puts up stats, but I am looking for around 25 fantasy points tonight.

I do not see much value at the Center spot so I will not talk about any value plays here. The only plays I see are O’Quinn and Bam.
