Dan's Dosage: January 15, 2020
How’s it going everyone? It is that time again to break out the books for a new night of some NBA action and we open it up with a nice ten game slate tonight with some value and studs that I wanted to talk about. I do this blog usually the morning of or night before the slate so keep an eye out for injuries and lineups to come out later in the day! I have been on a little bit of a dry streak to start the week, but got hot last night in cash games! Now let’s dig into this slate and get the hot streak going!
$8,500 and Above Standouts: Luka Doncic ($11,000)
I tend to try to stay away from him on back-to-backs, but how don’t you play Luka Doncic against De’Aaron Fox defense? The answer is you play him. I love stacking Doncic and James Harden, just like I did last night, and finding the value from elsewhere. Doncic is going to smash in this game against the Kings, and I will definitely have some exposure here. Kristaps Porzingis should be back for this game, but I don’t see him taking anything away from Doncic in this match-up.
$7,000-$8,400 Standouts: C.J. McCollum ($7,300)
I personally love stacking this game up with Harden and C.J. McCollum. McCollum is in a great spot as he will likely see Harden’s defense, and that means he will see no defense at all. Harden doesn’t play defense, and McCollum could light it up in this game if he gets hot. He is coming off back-to-back games of over 35 FanDuel points, and I can see him hitting at least 40 in this game. He has to keep the shot attempts up to get there, but in a high paced game like this with no defense, he should have no issues.
$6,900 and Below Standouts: Tobias Harris ($6,600)
Tobias Harris has seen a great usage upgrade with Joel Embiid out for the Sixers, and he should have no issues in a game against Brooklyn. He has been steadily hitting 5x for his value, and at this price tag he should be able to get up to 6x or even 7x. He is the #1 perimeter shooter in my eyes for this team, and I don’t see this being a game where he doesn’t shoot at least 7-10 threes. As long as he can keep a hot hand going into this game, we could see a ceiling game from him tonight.
That will do it for me guys. I am going to start putting out this blog every other day and see how it goes. Let me know in the comments if there is anything I can work on or add to this next time. Follow me on Twitter as well if I post anything else regarding the slate @DansDosage. Good luck to everyone tonight!
