Draft Street NHL Sunday

With the trade deadline looming over many teams this Sundays action with
provide a true test for daily fantasy sports owners. Who will be held
out over a pending deal? Who is busting their ass to show case there
skills to maybe get traded to a contender? And what teams are just
coasting along trying to look like they care but only see the high draft
pick as the goal?

I finally played a game on Draft Street though be it a free one just to
try the site out. I was very impressed. Won a four person game yay me.
But now am even more anxious for my paypal account to be set up.
Finished 24th on the fan duel shoot out but i really hate that they only
show the top 10 players as i have no clue how i dropped from 5th to
24th with only 3 goals being scored… oh well full disclosure would
always be a nice thing!!!

Ok on to today’s games.

New Jersey vs Florida: Well whats not to like here. NJ is rolling and
FLA is falling apart. Florida continues to try and trade away players
with the dealing of McCabe to the Rangers yesterday. So there will be
another gaping hole in there defence as the Devils roll into town.
Kovelchuk is on fire with 7 goals and 7 assists +10 and 35 shots in the
month of Feb. He should be a must for todays games and at $8776 is a
great value. Looks like The devils will have Brodeur back between the
pipes today as well and at $13469 makes him a great pick., Others i
would look at in this game would be Patrick Elias who has been playing
well the last few games as well. Tallinder might be a good pick for his
plus minus.

Colorado vs Anaheim: Another game that should be very one sided.
Colorado is playing back to back games today after a loss to the Kings
yesterday. While the 4-3 loss shows it was a close game they were down
4-0 late in the 3rd and only got into it by a lax Kings teams just not
caring. Anaheim are 8-1 in their last 9 meeting vs Colorado and are very
good at home in general. Neither team is playing very well right now
but Anaheim needs this win to stay in the playoff hunt.

Players i would be jumping on are both Ryan Getzlaf  who has 11 pts in
his last 7 games and can be had for $9638 and Corry Perry  with 16 pts
in his last 10 for $12519. Others to consider would be Ryan and Selanne
who are both more than a point per game in Feb. I would stay away from
the goalies in this game as it will either be Ellis or Emery

Boston vs Edmonton: Time to load up on this game. Though this may be a
let down game for the Bruins after last nights tough battle with the
Canucks they should still be able to handle an Oilers team just looking
forward to the end of another dismal year. Penner and Hemsky are on the
trade block and might have some value as they try and play themselves
out of Edmonton. For the Bruins well you should see Rask in nets for
this one but at $16506 is pricey for a back up though his stats are
solid. There are a slew of players on Boston you can have at, all around
a point per game in Feb. Marchand, Lucic and Krejci would all lead my
choices here.

Toronto vs Atlanta: At first glance this game looks to have loads of
scoring in it. And i might. But after the Leafs 11 goal game last night i
expect a tighter more physical game today. These games are hard to cap
as we just don’t know what is going on behind the scenes on either team.
Both could have big trades pending. So a game i would rather stay away

Anyway those are my thoughts on some of today’s games. Hope it helps
