DreamHack Open Fall 2020 – Summary and Plays for 10/15/2020
Hello fellow CSGO Grinders!
My name is Adam Kohn and I am here to help you all crush CSGO DFS!
This blog series will be featuring the current DreamHack Open Fall 2020 event that is going on in the world of Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO). I am going to be bringing you slate by slate breakdowns, or, a summary of the slate with my thoughts and a breakdown of my Core, Salary Relief, GPP plays, and Favorite Stacks (if any) for each day’s main slate matches. If you have questions for any other CSGO slates, I am available in the RG CSGO Discord chat and feel free to ask them in there. There is a fantastic group of folks in there and we all help each other out breaking down both slates and plays, giving opinions, etc.
All stats will be over the last 3 months of play against all rankings, unless otherwise noted. Some terminology for those who may not be familiar are K-D Differential or K/D Ratio (Kill to Death Differential or Kill to Death Ratio), ADR (Average Damage per Round), KPR (Kills Per Round), and +/- (Positive or Negative K/D Ratio or Differential). The pricing listed next to each player’s name is the Draftkings FLEX pricing for this slate. The advice given in this article is based on my experience of playing CSGO DFS as well as watching many of the games.
Now that all of that is out of the way, let’s get into the summaries and plays!!!
Welcome to Day 1 of the DreamHack Open Fall 2020! Draftkings didn’t include the 3 early games, but definitely check those out! Fnatic take on OG in what should be a even matchup. I think both teams are viable for lineups and this game should go 3 maps. Next G2 take on Endpoint, what should be a 2-0 sweep for G2. I don’t think this is the slate where we take a shot on Endpoint, but if you want to play anyone from Endpoint, it’s flameZ and CRUC1AL for me. All of G2 is in play for this slate, yes even AmaNEk. We get BIG versus FaZe Clan again. BIG has had FaZe’s number for months, but this FaZe team is firing on all cylinders and looks like a great team. There are rumors that this version of FaZe Clan could be blown up soon, but nothing confirmed. I think FaZe win this game 2-1 and this is going to be such a fun game to watch. North versus ENCE might be the game that decides this slate for winning a GPP. Lekr0 has been playing with North for over a month now and has some better number over the last few weeks. He would be a secondary target for me behind aizy, even though Lekr0 has the better stats recently, I still think aizy is the #1 on this team, but both are in play. For ENCE, I would mix and match the other 4 players of this team with allu in your ENCE stacks. The final match on the slate, and the best matchup, is Heroic versus Astralis. It looks like Heroic have hit a wall of sorts, but they are a great large field GPP stack or one offs if you think they can beat Astralis. Astralis is the best team in the world right now and all of Astralis are very reasonably priced.
es3tag ($8,200) – It was announced that es3tag is in talks to join the new Cloud9 roster. He also used to be on Heroic, so a bit of a revenge narrative as well. He has just played so well with this Astralis roster, I don’t think it stops here and I think he is going to finish this tournament out strong with Astralis, if he does in fact sign with Cloud9.
Kjaerbye ($5,800) – Kjaerbye has played so much better recently and this is just too cheap for him with how good he has been.
coldzera ($6,600) – He’s about $1,000 too cheap.
NBK- ($6,000) – Large Field GPP’s only and only in your OG stacks.
KRIMZ ($6,800) – KRIMZ has been playing much better lately, so this is a little cheap for him, considering his recent form.
TeSeS ($6,600) – I like TeSeS as a one off even if Astralis wins.
mantuu ($8,000) and valde ($7,400) – I think both of these players are going to do really well versus Fnatic.
Gla1ve ($7,600) – He’s a way to differentiate your Astralis stacks.
XANTARES ($7,400) – I think XANTARES can have a great game versus FaZe Clan.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I wish you good luck in your contests for this main slate! I’ll have another slate breakdown or summary and plays blog post for the Friday, 10/16/2020, main slate!
