DreamHack Open Fall 2020 – Summary and Plays for 10/16/2020
Hello fellow CSGO Grinders!
My name is Adam Kohn and I am here to help you all crush CSGO DFS!
This blog series will be featuring the current DreamHack Open Fall 2020 event that is going on in the world of Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO). I am going to be bringing you slate by slate breakdowns, or, a summary of the slate with my thoughts and a breakdown of my Core, Salary Relief, GPP plays, and Favorite Stacks (if any) for each day’s main slate matches. If you have questions for any other CSGO slates, I am available in the RG CSGO Discord chat and feel free to ask them in there. There is a fantastic group of folks in there and we all help each other out breaking down both slates and plays, giving opinions, etc.
All stats will be over the last 3 months of play against all rankings, unless otherwise noted. Some terminology for those who may not be familiar are K-D Differential or K/D Ratio (Kill to Death Differential or Kill to Death Ratio), ADR (Average Damage per Round), KPR (Kills Per Round), and +/- (Positive or Negative K/D Ratio or Differential). The pricing listed next to each player’s name is the Draftkings FLEX pricing for this slate. The advice given in this article is based on my experience of playing CSGO DFS as well as watching many of the games.
Now that all of that is out of the way, let’s get into the summaries and plays!!!
Welcome to Day 2 of the DreamHack Open Fall 2020! Draftkings again didn’t include the 3 early games, but definitely check those out! sAw take on FaZe Clan, in what should be a quick 2-0 sweep for FaZe. We did see again that BIG had FaZe’s number but FaZe still has looked really good lately, so I’m taking that into account. Kjaerbye and coldzera are way too cheap for this matchup. Next up is G2 taking on Astralis. This game is a coin flip for me, and all players from both teams are in play, just limit your AmaNeK and jaCkz exposure. es3tag is underpriced again and could end up being chalky on this slate. Fnatic take on Team Vitality, in what should be a very even matchup. This should be a coin flip game, but I don’t think this is a game where you should play guys like misutaaa and golden. Sprout versus North will also be an even matchup. I would lean slightly on the North side, but I can see Sprout winning as well. The big 3 for Sprout are dycha, faveN, and snatchie. I would rank them in that order as well. North is Lekr0, aizy, and MSL, and aizy is $5,200. Yes you read that right, aizy is $5,200! The final game of the slate is GODSENT versus BIG. GODSENT is a good team, but BIG are just much better, however I think GODSENT can steal a map in this game. The main 2 I would target from GODSENT are zehN and Farlig, and you can play STYKO in Large Field GPP’s. For BIG, it’s the usual suspects of syrsoN, tabseN, and XANTARES.
Lekr0 ($8,600) – Good matchup and a gut call for me that I think he crushes in this spot.
Kjaerbye ($6,200) – Way too underpriced for this matchup.
aizy ($5,200) – He’s about $2,000-$3,000 too cheap.
coldzera ($6,800) – He’s about $1,000 too cheap… again.
Farlig ($6,400) – Too cheap for how good of a player he is, even against BIG, so I would only use him in your GODSENT stacks.
ZywOo ($9,400) – ZywOo isn’t the most expensive player on the slate, we should take advantage of this.
tabseN ($7,400) – He should do really well in this matchup.
Brollan ($7,200) – Too cheap and is the best player on Fnatic.
dycha ($8,400) – If Sprout beat North, dycha most likely is one of the main reasons why.
Fnatic (Large Field GPP’s)
