EPL & Bundesliga - Feb 27 - SCA Matrix
The SCA (Shot Creating Actions) Metric – It is one of the best determinants of how a team operates and succeeds. This metric allows you to identify the potential attacking opportunities of an individual team against their direct opponent. In other words, it signals which team will have the greater advantage on the field.
Quite the weak slate, but without any big name team on the table, we get to see everyone’s in-depth knowledge of the EPL. The top game of the slate from a fantasy perspective has to be the Leeds v. Villa matchup. Both teams have no shame in giving up defensive opportunities so as long as they can create numerous scoring chances. With both teams expected to average over 20 shot creating actions on Saturday, it should be a game filled with goals on both sides. Raphinha looks like a top notch play, and while Villa hasn’t been performing that great lately, you can never count out Grealish. However, he has now been ruled out so look for Barkley or Traore to take over sets. This does mean though, that Leeds jump up as slight favorites. And as far as the defenders for this slate, I will probably stick with this match.
Brighton seems like the biggest favorite on the slate even after last week’s slip up. I like some of the attacking pieces from here so don’t be afraid to take on some low-floor guys as those totals should be boosted a bit. Next in line we have Wolves who should create more chances than their opponents. Neto becomes probably the best play of the slate, or at least the one with the highest floor in my opinion. I will probably take one of the goalies from these games as well.
Two heavy favorites on the slate with Bayern and Dortmund expected to score at least two goals. I think this is where you start and the decision between Lewandowski and Haaland can either benefit you or traumatize you. Regardless, both should increase their goal tally on the season. Plenty of other choices on these teams as well but I always lean with Bayern players over Dortmund.
Then it’s all about Stuttgart for me. They are facing what probably is the worst team in the entire league wreaking with injuries. They are expected to achieve a 25 SCA metric against their opponent, which makes for the highest on the slate. That pretty much sums up my approach for Saturday – three teams with my full attention. The last game of the slate I basically have no interest in as it is the most balanced matchup of the day. Also, it has the lowest differential SCA total.
