EPL - Feb 14 - SCA Matrix
The SCA (Shot Creating Actions) Metric – It is one of the best determinants of how a team operates and succeeds. This metric allows you to identify the potential attacking opportunities of an individual team against their direct opponent. In other words, it signals which team will have the greater advantage on the field.
Sunday, February 14 – EPL Breakdown
After one place away from a takedown yesterday using this SCA metric, let’s see what today’s analysis can bring us. The clear cut and obvious option is stacking Man Utd. With a towering SCA total for tomorrow, there is no doubt that Fernandes will be the highest owned player of the slate. The next question will come down to who from that attack should we partner Bruno with. That is always the toughest question as any of those three, or sometimes even four, can break the slate. Shaw is the other candidate to lead the defender position in popularity. The stack is in.
You will also see though that West Brom gets a +3 point boost in SCA. However, that doesn’t say much when they still hold the lowest metric of the entire slate. Regardless, they are priced low.
The next two games are going to be eerily similar. There’s not much edge from an SCA standpoint for one team over the other so it will mostly come down to who is more efficient in price. Unfortunately, the Arsenal v. Leeds game has all the set takers high priced. Where is the value? Not in this game. Look toward the last game of the slate for it. This is the game with a handful of options in the mid-range. Also, with Lewin out, look for King to step in. Given his low price, I can see many going to him to enable other spots to be used for higher priced set takers. I am also not trying to pay up for keeper this slate. I’ll stick to my below $4.5k range in Meslier or Areola.
