EPL - Feb 6 - SCA Matrix
The SCA (Shot Creating Actions) Metric – It is one of the best determinants of how a team operates and succeeds. This metric allows you to identify the potential attacking opportunities of an individual team against their direct opponent. In other words, it signals which team will have the greater advantage on the field.
Saturday, February 6 – EPL Breakdown
EPL Saturday is here. This might be a tricky one but always better when it’s Manchester United rather than Manchester City. Fernandes will remain a top play on this slate but it is tough to say whether you need him as I do not see much value as of now. They certainly have a much better attack than Everton as based on their SCA metric, but Everton tends to be solid defensively.
The biggest stand-out of the slate happens to be Brighton. A remarkable attack so far this year which is only improving going up against the weakest defense on the slate. As a result, we see Brighton will the lead in the SCA metric of 22 scoring opportunities potentially to be created against Burnley. That almost reaches double that of their direct opponent. Gross, March or Trossard should figure to have a nice game depending who is on the pitch to take over set pieces.
Next up may be Southampton who a lot of casuals will be thrown off by considering their huge loss to Manchester United last round. No one will remember the fact that they played with 10 men since the two minute mark. Watch for Prowse to have a field day on sets as long as he doesn’t play from the wing back position. But let’s not forget about the other side. Fraser for Newcastle can be another strong pick as he has overtaken Shelvey on sets (as long as Ritchie continues to be out). West Ham had a tremendous performance last round with many new faces in the starting eleven. I’d hope they wouldn’t slip against Fulham who probably belongs in the lower division. Cresswell or Bowen could make the shortlist here as potential double-digits point getters.
