Fantasy Feud College Football Picks Week Five

Here are some picks this week who I think can meet value. Fantasy Feud has definitely tightened up their pricing compared to last week. Melvin Gordon under 90K—crazy and we saw some very high scores thanks to that. Much different story this week as it was noticeably tougher to build lineups. Enjoy and jump on Fantasy Feud for some great CFB action!!!

Bryce Petty Baylor $165,800 —So this dude needs 33 points to meet value. Vegas thinks Baylor will score 6 TD’s. I’m pretty sure he’ll have a part in most of those. It seems like he’s been a little forgotten due to his injury and Baylor’s early season schedule. Bonus—he gets an all-American WR back in Antwan Goodley this week! I doubt we see him this cheap again, take him while you can.

Jake Waters Kansas State $143,100 —Waters did not play well in last Thursdays game against Auburn. He gets UTEP this week and they are one of the worst teams against the run. So we have a crappy run defense and a QB who gets a lot of his production on the ground. Expect a big day for Waters and K-State—I assume they’ll be a little upset after their performance on national TV.

Deshaun Watson Clemson $90,100 —So this freshman comes in against defending national champion Florida State and passes over 250 yards and scores a TD. Not a bad predictor of future events. Super frosh Watson gets the putrid UNC defense. With Clemson’s QB friendly up tempo offense he should meet value with 18 points.

Others: Nick Marshall Auburn (Great Value at 105K), Sefo Liufau Colorado, Kenny Hill (TAM), Jameis Winston FSU.

Jeremy Langford Michigan State $64,200 —He really cheap on FF and really expensive everywhere else. He needs 13 points for value-he could blow that away. My only concern is that they’re playing Wyoming. In blowout wins he doesn’t get many carries but does great with what he does get. Take it for what you will and decide if the risk is worth the reward. With pricing this week I’ll have him in every line up.

Todd Gurley Georgia $130,800 —Gurley has had a few down games because the really didn’t need him in blowout wins. TN albeit not a great team should put up a fight. Look for Gurley to have a huge game and get his name back in the hunt for the Heisman. I guarantee he was watching Melvin Gordon’s performance last weekend and wants numbers like that. Needs 26 points for value—doable.

James Conner Pitt $178,000 —He’s been a workhorse this year. He has a ton of carries as his coach came from Wisconsin and we all know Wisky loves to run the ball. This may be a blowout but I haven’t seen any signs that he shouldn’t get his early in the game.

Others: Cameron Artis-Payne Auburn, Duke Johnson Miami (Due for a huge game), Charles Jones K State, Mike Davis south Carolina (Super Cheap @75K), Kevin Parks (Salary Saver 53K)

Antwan Goodley Baylor $30,000 —So this dude has been hurt for 4 weeks and comes back and Fantasy Feud forgets about him. I love it! When healthy you’ll have trouble finding another WR more explosive. I do have concerns with coming back from injury-how healthy is he, will he get a full workload. I would monitor what’s going on with Baylor and how they will use him this weekend. Either way he should get 6 points and meet value.

Tyler Lockett Kansas State $61,900 —This guy has to be the bargain of the week! K State takes on UTEP. UTEP has given up a 150 yard receiver the last 2 games. Teldrick Mrogan did it 2 weeks ago with over 200 yards. I’m willing to bet Lockett is more talented and should have a huge game. He’s due.

Ty Montgomery Stanford $106,800 —Stanford has not found a RB yet. They’ve relied on the passing game. QB Kevin Hogan is completing passes over 70%. I think Montgomery makes a solid cash game play and meet value. I would expect a huge day but consistent 100 yards and a TD.

Others: D’haquille Williams Auburn, Jamison Crowder Duke (Still Cheap), Rashaad Greene FSU, Nelson Aghholor USC, Dres Anderson Utah (Sleeper)

I have no idea…..I’ll probably go with Tyler Kroft again as he’s super cheap and I refuse to spend at this position. He’ll probably give me a goose egg likes he’s done 2 games this year. If you have a sleeper that’s cheap send me a message.

O gracious I am on that IU RB Tevone Coleman and he is WAY EXPENSIVE. Am I nuts?

OBTW I will not go Kroft again. For unknown reason RU just ignores him. I had enough. For cheap look at Ark TE they have high scoring game on tap. He cant do worse than Tyler.

Plus Kroft is Questionable this week with an injury.

I have a solid core for my team and I am just trying to decide which of these combinations is better, would love your thoughts. What combo do you guys like best:

    Duke Johnson

  • iwrestle

Well I on Coleman because it will be tight game so he will most likely get 4 qtrs of action. I wanted Connor of Pitt cuz he a beast, but opponent Akron is weak so Pitt will sit Connor out after 1st half or early 2nd so he fine for next week vs a good virginia team. I do think Wynn sees lots of action in this high scoring game, so too Duke Johnson vs weak D Duke.

My only worry with Langford is that he won’t see very many carries in what could be a blowout. Similar to last week I could see Langford only getting like 10 carries. My initial thought is that Abdullah has about the same upside as Coleman (just because IND does have other backs that see work) and Abdullah is the guy. I thought that Johnson has more upside than Langford in what should be a more competitive game than the MSU game. Agholor is a safer play in my opinion than Wynn, but Wynn as some sneaky upside.

    Thanks for your thoughts guys.

Bobbybaby – agree with you on Connor and the fact that they could be resting him in that game. I say he is a fade this week too.
