My Week 8 Picks and Teams
Hey guys, it’s once again Sunday and you know what that means, finally some football. We’re looking ahead to some great Week 8 action. Some notable guys out this week are Sam Bradford, Mark Ingram, Daniel Thomas, among others. I’m in a few games on Fanduel and DraftDay and figured that I might as well share my team on here. This is my fanduel team for the week and it also pretty accurately describes the players I like this week.
So down to business… first off here are my teams from the different sites I am playing on this week.
QB – Ben Roethlisberger – I really like the rapist in today’s game against the Pats, I have a feeling it is going to be a shootout and he has looked really good recently so I’m using him and hoping he will be worth the $8,400 price tag.
RB1 – Adrian Peterson – I think he’s the best overall pick this week, he’s up against one of the worst defenses in football and has looked great. He crushed the Packers defense last week who are one of the best in the league so there’s no saying what he can’t do this week. A guy as good as him with a matchup as good as this deserves a start, even with the big price tag.
RB2 – Bernard Scott – The matchup honestly isn’t that great (Seahawks D is solid), but it’s his one start of the year and you have to figure that he will be pretty fired up. I think he can get 60 yards and a touchdown and if that can happen I will be very content with my cheapie running back pick to even out the price with Peterson.
WR2 – Marques Colston – The Rams defense has been freaking awful this year and with Drew Brees throwing him the ball and the two touchdowns last week, all with a price of $7,200, I feel like I have to start him.
WR3 – Antonio Brown – He’s a stretch, but I have him going in one of my yearly teams and figure why the hell not with the cheap price, good matchup, and increasing role in the Steelers offense. Good cheap WR, it’s pretty much between him and Greg Little if you want to go cheap today on Fanduel.
TE – Jake Ballard – I was looking for a cheap tight end, was between Ballard and Jared Cook, and ended up picking Ballard both because I’m a Giant fan and because I like his matchup. He’s decent if you want to go cheap at tight end, hopefully he will find the end zone.
Defense and kicker – does it matter? It seems like the only way to pick defense and kickers is to close your eyes and click randomly. I’m not giving my two here because quite honestly they probably won’t do well.
Now that you know both my team and my expert picking techniques (pick the guys on the teams I root for and who are on my fantasy teams), go out there and kick some butt this week. Good luck everyone.
