NFL Divisional Round FanDuel Picks
Nick Foles ($7,400)- Philadelphia Eagles
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this matchup for Foles and the Eagles passing attack against New Orleans this weekend. Despite their dominance, the Saints rank 22nd against the pass, 30th against WR1, and 31st against the second weapon on the opposing side. With Foles gaining confidence in a gutsy road win in Chicago last week, and his growing chemistry with Golden Tate and Alshon Jeffrey, I see an upset brewing, and a 330 yard, 3 touchdown performance from the reigning Super Bowl MVP.
Ezekiel Elliott ($8,700)- Dallas Cowboys
Another upset alert… The Boys draw a wonderful matchup against a struggling Rams secondary (Thank you, Marcus Peters), and a run defense that ranks 28th in the league. Cue up the Zeke. The way that Dallas wins games is pounding the ball on the ground and choking offenses. I see Zeke as a must play, with the highest floor and by far the highest ceiling of any RB remaining in the NFL playoffs in any given week.
Julian Edelman ($7,600)- New England Patriots
This game has Julian Edelman written all over it… in his last three games to finish the season, Edelman received 27 targets from Brady, and found the end zone twice. Also, the Chargers rank in the bottom 10 at defending the top receiver from the opposing offense this season. Furthermore, Gronk will be a tough roster, as L.A. has been stout against the tight end position, ranking 1st in the NFL.
Travis Kelce ($7,500)- Kansas City Chiefs
I think both tight ends find the end zone this weekend, as both defenses rank in the bottom 10 this year at defending the position, but Kelce is too easy. This is a similar matchup to the Oakland game, when he put up 32.8 FDP. I expect Mahomes to find his talented big man early and often in this massive showdown at Arrowhead.
Golden Tate ($5,900)- Philadelphia Eagles
I mentioned my LOVE for the Eagles this week, which is a big statement as I am a die hard Minnesota native and Viking fan. While I do favor Jeffery in this game, I think Tate could once again beat value in a wonderful road matchup. Foles targeted Tate 8 times last week, and I think the Birds will have to throw a ton to keep up with Drew Brees and company.
Dallas Cowboys ($4,200)
The last time we saw Jared Goff in a primetime road game he threw four interceptions in a loss to the Bears at Soldier Field. This is an abysmal matchup for the Rams against one of the highest performing defenses of the 2018-19 campaign. I am not saying L.A. will not score, I am just saying do not be surprised if it isn’t the lofty 28 points that Vegas expects them to. This is a steal price for an underrated group, which will most certainly get up for Jerry and a chance at the NFC Championship game.
