NHL Game 7 Elimination Chamber

Did we just see a unicorn last night?!!! The Montreal Canadiens are going to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1993. It’s also our first Canadian team since the 2011 Vancouver Canucks. As much as I would like to hate on them they totally deserved/earned this one! You hold Vegas top 6 forwards to 2 goals in the series you are doing something right. Carey Price has played outstanding and I’m happy he finally gets to play for the Cup. You can call me a bandwagon guy as I have put down Canadian teams in the past but they really have just changed my mind with how they’ve played. The most amazing thing about this whole run is their hottest player right now (Cole Caufield) didn’t even play the first 3 games!!! He is fun to watch that is for sure and I know Canadien fans are going to be happy to see him develop into one of the top forwards in the league. I don’t really have much to say about Vegas as they were just flat outplayed and like I said can’t expect to win without contributions from your top guys. I will give their D credit for even making this a 6 game series. For some reason I just keep thinking of this for the Vegas Golden Knights…

Game 7 Tampa Bay Lightning vs New York Islanders
I think we know where I’m gonna start here, is Nikita Kucherov going to play tonight? My gut says yes but idk how serious the injury is. This has been an interesting series to say the least. It’s been pretty physical and chippy but then again so have all these playoffs and seemingly more than normal. Not this series but the ones before I think the teams were just sick of one another. If Kucherov is in I feel like the Tampa Bay PP is stronger and I’m assuming there might be some “makeup” calls so TB has the advantage there. I think they do anyway with or without him though. The real “hero” of this team has been Brayden Point. The dude has been a scoring machine and is putting his name in the history books by scoring in 9 straight playoff games!!! I’m gonna go ahead and say that continues tonight. Ok so let’s get to the Isles side. Last game I think they were lucky to have Barzal and they really needed him as he had a good game. In order for them to win tonight he’s going to have to have a hell of a game! The other main factor is how Varlamov plays. He might have to help “steal” this one. I think Trotz will have the team ready to go but TB is just too skilled. I think I have this one 5-3 Tampa Bay Lightning

SD Builds
We are nearing the end of the season and NHL DFS is winding down. It wasn’t a “great” year for me but I think that was the general consensus overall with how this season was structured. Next season will be better. For now I’m assuming Kuch is in. So I would play every combo of that L1 to start. It’s gonna be tight so I could see a case where Vas isn’t in the winning lineup. For my TB lines I’ll say I play him in ~ 60% of my TB lineups. You can go down and play their L2 as well but I would only CPT Killorn. I’ve been struggling to play TB defense and will continue to do so. Since this is the last slate for this series I just MME the $0.25 contest so will just throw whatever D fit into some builds. I think my only “sleeper” would be Gourde as I could see him being involved in something tonight. As for the Isles side it’s a pick and choose. They have really spread it out so you just have to play all combos of them. If only playing one NYI centric lineup it’s gotta be Barzal or Varlamov CPT. I suppose you could add Palmieri but I’ll stop there. I guess I do have 3 NYI goals but I think they’ll all be from different people. I could see Pageau getting into the mix as well. They are just tough to pick so your guess is as good as mine. Good luck and get ready for the Cup!
