Notes and Thoughts- French Open Tennis Day 4
This is my first blog so thanks if anyone reads it. Tomorrow Draft Kings has a nice $15 contest with a 5k first prize and the $150 clay king with a 15k prize up top.
My research today leans balanced, so my focus is more on the middle tier. If you wanna play Nadal or Federer you’re gonna have to do some dumpster diving, and I don’t really feel it on this slate.
Day 1 the winning lineup of Dellien, Djere, Goffin, Kozlova, Mayer and Svitolina had 4 men and 2 women and used 49.6k salary
Today the winning lineup (split with one other) was won by Rotogrinder Sinthetix so congrats to him on a great score. That lineup was Mannarino, Monfils, Sabalenka, Sakkari, Tsurenko, and the key to the win, Hon with the upset for only $5800. 4 women and 2 men used the whole 50k of salary and was duped by only 1 lu of 9k. shocking!
My favorite mid-tier plays tomorrow—-
Vondrousova (-350) over Potapova. In their only previous match Vondrousova won 6-0, 6-2
Suarez-Navarro (-330) over Rogers. Rogers lost most of last year with knee surgery and doesn’t quite seem to have all the rust off yet.
Krajinovic (-190) over Carballes. The odds seem a little low for the price, but he is 2-1 vs Carballes including straight set victories the last 2 times they played.
Plays I am likely avoiding—-
Nishikori-(-250) vs Tsonga. Nishikori should win, but I’d rather go up to Djere or Vondrousova or down to Suarez Navarro all who have better odds. Tsonga is a wiley old vet, and while Nishikori has a 5-3 record against him, they have each won 2 of the last 4 matches. I might play Tsonga as a cheap flyer if i was running multiple lu’s.
Schwartzman (-270) vs Mayer. Mayer has an 8 inch height advantage and beat him on clay last year in Germany in their only match. Schwartzman is ranked 20th and Mayer 68th but this feels like a total coin flip match. Again, maybe Mayer as a cheap flyer for the upset if multi entering.
Garin- up and comer, little scary against Wawrinka but you gotta take some risks somewhere
Good Luck and Green Screens tomorrow!
