Ripking's Ramblings and Rumblings

I was never a fan of basketball. Growing up in St. louis, you were a Cardinals fan. Period, end of story. Jim hart and Jack Clark, Neil Lomax and Darryl porter, OJ anderson and Joaquin Andujar, these were the guys we knew. Speaking Joaquin, my brother Kevin was on a trivia show in the mid 90’s called “the two minute drill” hosted by Kenny mayne and he ended up winning 15 grand. His final topic was the 1982 St.louis cardinals. The questions. Who was the pitcher that won game 7, spell his name and what did brewers second baseman Jim Gantner call him. If you aren’t sure, it was Joaquin Andujar and Hot dog. I was and am still proud of that moment in baseball and my family history.
So when I started playing daily fantasy basketball I felt like a fish out of water. I had no idea who any of these guys were. How do I know who to play and for what reason. It’s now three weeks into the season and i’m more like a fish in a small pond swimming with sharks. I’ll be updating you with posts on how i’m doing and look forward to the education.

let’s win some dough ray mi!
