Serie A - Mar 3 - SCA Matrix
The SCA (Shot Creating Actions) Metric – It is one of the best determinants of how a team operates and succeeds. This metric allows you to identify the potential attacking opportunities of an individual team against their direct opponent. In other words, it signals which team will have the greater advantage on the field.
Serie A Breakdown
DraftKings has delighted soccer degens with a wonderful Serie A slate on Wednesday. They could have also had two Ligue 1 French slates, but who knows why they didn’t even consider offering at least one. Let’s get back to the Italian league though. It is evident who the biggest stack of the slate is – Atalanta. They lead the slate with the highest expected SCA metric and have a differential of 10+ SCA points between their direct opponent. Muriel is clearly one of the top plays of the slate and if Malinovsky or Ilicic play alongside him, there may be some set sharing. Zapata is your top GPP play given his high chance of scoring not only one, but two goals.
Ac Milan takes quite the hit of four SCA points and without Ibra up front, Milan will continue to struggle just a tad at creating glorious opportunities to score. I have my eyes on some of these Bologna players – Sansone, Orsollini, Barrow – as they get a nice boost on their SCA to rank second on today’s slate behind Atalanta. From there, you better know your Serie A players as Benevento v. Verona could be a wide open game without much defense being played. Each team gets a boost of +3 SCA points. And the same goes for Genoa v. Sampdoria, though I am quite low on Genoa as individually as a team, they have perhaps the lowest SCA on the season of 12.6. They do get a boost of +5 but in such a large slate, why risk it here?
Roma is another favorite who should get the win so you can look at the defenders and goalkeeper from this game. However, Atalanta still overpowers any selection at any position on this six game contest. This will be a fun one!
