TBadger's College Basketball Betting Extravaganza 12/4
Hello, my name is Justin aka TBadger. I am a high school math teacher from the great state of Wisconsin. I love to use my background in mathematics to find statistical advantages in both DFS and Sports Betting. In this article, TBadger’s College Basketball Betting Extravaganza, I will be using my projections model to bet every CBB money line for the rest of the season. This model was produced in 2017 and has been updated the past few years now. It allowed me to have great success in winning my March Madness brackets, and now I want to find its success in the sports betting world. Tag along as I ride the highs and lows of this college basketball season.
Current Record: 43-24 (64.2%) Units: -5.01 Profit: -$100.20
Yesterday we were able to right the ship a little bit better. My projections stood (71%) around where my model has projected (73%). We were able to choose correctly some good underdog picks, as well as take some bad beats. I will go through those a little more in depth below.
Record: 37-15 (71.2%) Units: +2.54 Profit: $50.8
-Northwestern won on the road at Boston College by 14 points. My model had Northwestern in a very favorable matchup last night, and it is good to see that come to fruition.
-Lafayette were underdogs in their game with Saint Joseph’s last night. Lafayette was able to go on the road and pull off a 13 point “upset” and give myself a solid 2 units.
Northern Kentucky +150
-Northern Kentucky also went on the road and was able to beat Miami OH by a respectable 22 points last night.
Loyola Chicago +110
-Loyola Chicago beat a decent Ball State team on the road by 12 points. Most of these matchups had positive matchup indexes from my model, and it comes to no surprise that they won.
-Butler was able to beat a respectable Ole Miss team by 9 on the road.
William & Mary +115
-W&M were underdogs at home against a good Old Dominion team. W&M handled ODU by 17 points.
-Charlotte took a loss at home to UNC Asheville by 8. Big OOF.
-The Orange looked like they were gonna take this one at home versus Iowa, but their shooting woes of the second left them feeling a little empty last night.
-ECU straight up stunk last night, losing by 10 to a weak Coppin State team.
-The BIGGEST LOSER of the night goes to Missouri, losing at home to Charleston Southern, who is possibly the worst team in all of CBB.
Sam Houston State -248
-SHS lost in 2OT to Rio Grande Valley. SMH really blew their end of the game lead, so unfortunate.
Michigan State -280
-The last biggest loser on this list is Michigan State who really hasn’t looked all to impressive this year. Cassius Winston is a great player, stuck besides not a great supporting cast. Rocket Watts is very raw and needs to improve defensively and on his spot shooting if this team wants to make a run.
Today there is another plethora of games on tap for us. I am looking for that 70%-75% range for outcomes and let’s see how many units I can net. Also, who will be the underdogs who win tonight.
