The 7/1 Daily Fantasy Round-Up
Welcome sports fans to the Daily Fantasy Round-Up. Going back to the 2nd blog format, and even if you don’t want to know why, I’m going to tell you anyway.
Two weeks ago I slacked off on work (I do Real Estate), blogged often and did a lot of fantasy research. Needless to say, I did ok fantasy wise (got two tickets into the Mid-Summer Classic for around 1/2 price) and I closed a real estate deal. Last week, I focused on real work, did not blog, worked my butt off in real estate, did terrible in fantasy, and closed no deals. So this week I go back to blogging and slacking off!
Your weekend results:
The Strong Arm
Justin Masterson – Oh, those White Sox. They gave us New Yorker’s some hope that Zack Wheeler might be for real (he’s not yet) and they looked like they might be turning the corner hitting after scoring 18 runs in two games on Friday (they’re not). Masterson dominated them on Sunday, bringing them right back to earth where they belong, with the aforementioned Mets, and also the Astros.
The Big Wood
David Lough – The Lough-down man finally crushed his value as many have been predicting for a long time. 4 for 4 with 4 runs and a DONG.
Other Notables
Crush Davis continues to absolutely murder baseballs. Fans have claimed they catch them with dents. He went DOUBLEDONG on Saturday against the Yanks. Funny DoubleDong story. I’m at the bar Saturday night with my girl and I see an upside down Corona in a margarita . We used to call these Bulldogs, or when we were in St Maarten, St Maarty Dogs. I asked the bartender what he called them and he says “Double D’s” to with I immediately blurt out “DOUBLEDONGS?”. My girl and him were both very confused, and I was quickly reminded that only about 100 people in the entire world know what a DOUBLEDONG is.
Hindsight is 20/20
David Lough and Masterson are pretty obvious, I think everyone wishes they were in their line-ups Sunday. And if you’re still fading Yasiel Puig, you’re nuts.
Hot Lunch Special of the Day
A Player Under 3k on FanDuel Guaranteed to Give the Opposing Pitcher a Hot Lunch
Clete Thomas – Clete has been hitting lead-off and Andy Pettitte is a shell of his former self. And who doesn’t like yelling “CLETUS!”. He donged on Friday and and is averaging over 3 FDP/G the last 15 days. I’m on the Clete train today!
That’s all for today folks. Happy Grinding! May your punts be Hall of Famer Ray Guy-esque and go looooong!
