The Dog Days of Summer Chat Eliminator Day 1

What is the Eliminator, you ask? Think about your favorite reality show, only playing out every night in stadiums across this great country (and occasionally in our less great neighbor to the North, but I digress).

One of your favorite RG Chat personalities will be eliminated each night, while the remaining players advance, looking to be the one who gets the big prize at the end.

This version of the Eliminator began in earnest on Tuesday, July 24, with a field of 8:

BigePhatRides – never heard of him
DeHoyos – relative newcomer to chat, DFS tennis savant
Goleafsgo14 – In the middle of a MLB hot streak
IzzyB24 – occasional chat visitor
Oroborous – chat veteran, quality player across multiple sports
Riddles – because we all need someone to root against in reality TV
StevieBrown – basketball guru, trying his hand at MLB
Tomac – yours truly, in the middle of a serious MLB cooler

Night one began with a 14-game slate, and eight dreams to conquer the Eliminator. Well, now there’s seven. DeHoyos finished with a score of 60.2 on the night and was the first person forced to leave the island. He wasn’t too mad about it because it gave him time to set his ATP Hamburg lineups.

Results of night one:

GoLeafsGo – 151.6
BigE – 118.15
Riddles – 115.9
Tomac – 108.8
Oroborous – 88.5
IzzyB – 77.15
StevieB – 76.35
DeHoyos – 60.2

But as we know, every reality show has a twist at the end, and this one was HUGE. Wednesday brings with it two different slates, and two of your favorite chat guys will be forced to go home (one early, one later).

Stay tuned.
