Yahoo NBA Survey: 1-31-19
A blatant, unashamed rip-off of the daily Rotogrinders expert surveys, here to benefit Yahoo players.
I have created a $1, 10-team, top 3 win contest for today’s slate and hope to run this once per week to have a chance to play against some of the Rotogrinders community. It will only run if it fills, so come join the contest at this link.
UPDATE: THE CONTEST IS FULL. NEXT WEEK, I WILL EXPAND TO 15 PLAYERS

Golden State Warriors
Which NBA team are you looking to avoid most?
What’s the best position to spend up on?
What’s the best position to save salary on?
Which high total game do you like least from a DFS perspective?
None – give me all of them.
Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?
I was surprised to learn that even with strong defenders such as Kawhi Leonard, Serge Ibaka, and Pascal Siakam in their frontcourt, the Raptors rank 19th in the NBA in Total Rebound % and 24th in Defensive Rebound %. With Brook Lopez and his 4.0 rebounds per game (136th in the NBA!!) out hovering around the three point line, Giannis is going to have a field day on the glass tonight. In two games against the Raptors so far this season, Greek Freak is averaging 18.5 rebounds per game. I think that’s good.
What’s your hot take of the day?
Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
LaMarcus Aldridge – Ownership should decrease with DeRozan coming back, but centers against the Nets are a real thing. As long as Aldridge is priced under $40 in a matchup like this, we should be locking him in.
Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
Joel Embiid – The Process doesn’t have a game with usage under 30% since December and I don’t see that changing against the high-powered Warriors tonight. In a game with a 240 total and an enticing defensive matchup in front of him, all we need is the 76ers to stay competitive for Embiid to surpass his season average of 52.5 Yahoo points per game.
